Uh, I'm calling bullshit.  I checked the site rules.  Nowhere does it say explicitly that we can't talk about real world religion outright.  Not sure I appreciate you subtly threatening to report me to the mods though.

Mods have closed threads multiple times for arguments over real life politics/religion, etc. But its usually only when it causes the thread to go way of topic and make the discussion toxic.

Dorian shows up to prove not all magisters aren't evil only to betray you at the end proving that all magisters actually are evil.

I'll burn this forum to the ground. :)

Yes, and that's VASTLY different from having a civil discussion about religion in a dignified manner in very short spurts.  Discussion that doesn't completely derail the thread.  But what do I know, I'm just trying to be belligerent for the sake of it.

Back to Cassandra's faith....

Have there been any examples of her proselytizing (actively trying to convert people to Andrastianism)?

Personally, I don't think its a bad topic, but I've seen threads warned/locked in it in the same way political topics are despite political discussion not being explicitly stated to be in the rules(though it used to be?).

From what I saw of the rules, what we can't do is make hateful speeches about religions (and other topics). I didn't saw any rule directly saying "don't talk about real religions, ever". But of course, I suppose what might bother people is that religious talk might lead to heated arguments. Anyway, that was not my intention regardless. And if it's an taboo topic, I will refrain from talking about it further.

Does sending evil doers to the Maker count?

She seems the lead by example type. Action oriented. Not preachy.

We've barely seen anything of Cass. The only thing we learned from Dawn of the Seeker is that Cass has quite the short temper and is completely devoted to a warriors way of life.

She's also a fan of Seether.

Not to mention really, really good at the warrior thing.

Nah. And she never struck me as that type of person. While her faith is strong as steel, I think that proselytizing is more Leliana's game than Cassandra's.

Lelianna did less proselytizing and more talking about the dream she had where the Maker told her to help the Warden.

True, but again, I see that as something more that Leliana would do as opposed to Cass.

Leliana was always ready to make a statement of faith or state a case for the Chantry, but I think it was harmless. Not instrusive. Like she'd say what good a Chantry might do in Orzammar or whatnot. She didn't get upset if you didn't do it though.

The only person she gets more preachy with is Morrigan. But Morrigan is pushy with her own philosophy too.

I doubt Cassandra would quote the Chant of Light while slaying bad guys, true.  But I'd be totally okay if she did.

Well, in the livestream, Cass is the one that pushes for the Herald thing while Leliana is against it. But then again, it was more because of influence then actual religion.

That is not who Cassandra is.  She speaks with actions, not words.

It could be that Leliana might not believe it, and that's her reason.

I mean, she thinks she's special to the Maker too. :D
