What about Reborn Palpatine and Connor Jax?
What about the actual end to the galactic civil war?
I mean seriously ROTJ ended on a somewhat idiotic note.
Okay you blew up the second Death Star and removed a decent portion of Death Squadron including the Executor along with killing The Emperor and his would be successor.
You still have the entire Imperial High Command that wasn't present for that battle given that there were if i recall correctly; Three Grand Admirals present for that battle, one of which was one the death star when it went up, the other one was captured (the only one to be taken alive actually by the rebels in combat) after his Star Destroyer was disabled while providing cover for the rest of the Imperial fleet to withdrawal.
And the other escaped; Not to mention you had many notable figures which were not at Endor including the Grand Vizor, And so many other critical and important positions that remained filled for years, not to mention the Imperial Fleet was massive and only a fraction of it was destroyed there, also in the "Truce at Bakura" the fighting apparently went on for several hours even after the Death Star was destroyed which makes sense given that you still have a highly outnumbered rebel force against Death Squadron and other fleets.
I said characters, not events. Though your post reminded me of this:

The first two were characters ![]()
But the event mentioned was exceptionally important.
I mean that war raged from Yavin to Yaga minor and took nearly two decades.
Anywho quote time.
"Your a monster and you will die a monster grand admiral."
I wonder, would Cassandra support the Rebel Alliance or the Galactic Empire?
*weeps at the painful reminder that Disney gutted the Expanded Universe
*
*stops laughing over the burning corpse of the New Jedi Order books and hides his gas can behind him*
Everything up through the second set of Zhan books was okay, but I confess that generally I'm not sorry to see the rest of it die.
I wonder, would Cassandra support the Rebel Alliance or the Galactic Empire?
She'd be a Jedi. Survived Order 66 and now leads a one-woman guerrilla war on some backwater planet where a young man/woman finds her and is trained to use the Force to- Headcanon forming.....18%.......26%........29%......32%......
I wonder, would Cassandra support the Rebel Alliance or the Galactic Empire?
Galactic Empire.
Likely an Officer in the Imperial Army.
I can see her among the regular grunts as easily as i can among the Inquisition.
Perhaps she would be force sensitive though and be among the ranks of the Elite of the imperial Military.
I can easily see her supporting galactic stability and order though, not fighting to subvert or weaken it; through the galaxy into chaos.

I don't think she would support the pointless destruction of an entire planet and its billions of people, though....
They aren't terrorist because they are actually at war and only attack military installations. Even if the rebels suck at it, this is honest warfare.
I just realized that despite my love of starwars.. the rebels are technicality terrorist with a noble goal. Am i a terrorist since i support their goals?... gotta stop drinking coffee XD
The Death Star is the physical embodiment of terrorism.
it just seems very guerilla like to me at times so i never saw it as a legit war imoThey aren't terrorist because they are actually at war and only attack military installations. Even if the rebels suck at it, this is honest warfare.
and only attack military installations.
Eh...
They had a tendency to attack military installations near ridiculously high civil areas.
Such as their raid on Fondor when they caused incomplete star destroyers to impact the planet devastating thousands of square miles of it.

The Rebels in their praise of Bail Organa, say that "he worked diligently to prepare his people (Alderaan) for the coming struggle, convincing them to renounce ... pacifism ... turning the planet ... into a centre for Rebellion."
The Terrorists thus admit that Alderaan was a legitimate military target. Alderaan, according to Terrorist propaganda was both a planet of harmless pacifists and a centre of armed rebellion. They can't have it both ways.

Still, destroying an entire planet to display one's power is wrong and unjust. I think Cassandra would agree. Based on her neutral/moderate position in the Mage-Templar War, she would probably support neither the Empire nor the Alliance. I mean, the Divine is the antithesis of the Emperor. Even if Cassandra would support the Emperor, his death would most likely lead to her forming an Inquisition-style organization.

That falls under the umbrella of open warfare, and as the military installation was the target, I see no problem in this.

Guerilla warfare is legit warfare. Guerilla warfare is why the queen doesn't own half of America right now. :/
Still, destroying an entire planet is unjust.
Truly?
You should have a chat with the Alliance then.
One word.
Byss.

I already said that she would support NEITHER group.
hmm i can believe thatThat falls under the umbrella of open warfare, and as the military installation was the target, I see no problem in this.

Truly? The Orbital Facilities being destroyed despite it resulting in a massive death count to the civil population?
Question: Do you see no problem with the fire bombing of Dresden?
I question this; because if you tout the notion of them inflicting no harm to non military targets, then its a load.
Their body count might not be as high as the Empire's but it isn't for lack of trying.
I already said that she would support NEITHER group.
After you put in destroying a planet was "unjust" like it was just the Empire that was guilty of destroying a populated world.
That said; i don't believe that, she doesn't strike me as the type to just sit out a war that is effecting galactic stability.
What does that have to do with my point? Whether it is just or not is irrelevant. Terrorist attack civilians and military alike. An act of war that has civilian casualties is not the same. As for why America did what you brought up, I won't get into it. Had enough of that in German class. I already know that it had no point and is not a part of honest warfare. I never argued otherwise.
An act of war that has civilian casualties is not the same.
The difference being what exactly?
Note for a state of war to exist; according to civil war logic anyway, you need to have the Rebel Alliance recognized by a third party, they were not at the time.
They were endorsed by the Hapes after Endor, but this was years prior to that.
So basically i view it as a terrorist action, well equipped terrorists, but terrorists.

I had to refresh my memory. It seems that the destruction of Byss was accidental and caused by R2-D2 (during the New Republic years, no less).
With the Empire's own weapon!
At any rate, I think Cassandra would find a third (non-radical) option in the absence of a moderate authority figure.
