"Hello there..."
I can't get over the way she says:
"And our soldiers found you," in the trailer.
There is a momentary tinge of sadness in her voice and then she resumes her more aggressive tone. It's awesome.
Considering who died there
Read the spoiler in an interview a few minutes ago.
God, if you aren't available to my ladyInquisitor...... i might cry. D:
There will be buckets surrounding me for tears, tbh
Well, since they are going back to the set sexuality style, I'd get your buckets ready.

They haven't confirmed who is what yet, though
If it's like DA:O, it'll only be straight and bi, I can live with that... unless Cassandra is straight.

Well, it is now 33% more likely.
When did they say they were going to have straight and gay romances?
"In a forthcoming AusGamers interview with Aussie expat and BioWare producer Cameron Lee, it was revealed the normally ambiguous approach to in-game romance in the realm of sexuality would be receiving a more specific option allowing for more complex relationships.
"The romances are more complex both in type of romances going forward and how you go through that romance," Lee explained to us. "The different types of sexual orientation of the different kinds of characters around you is also more complex than in previous games. I think there's going to be a lot more realistic... realistic... you know what I mean -- anyway, more engaging and more involved than in previous games. That's definitely the goal, and we are definitely going to go out there with some characters just being one sexual orientation. And that previously wasn't the case. The real world reflects that so we're going to make a game that reflects that as well."
Dragon Age has always been known as an open and ambiguous beast where sexuality is concerned, and romance will continue to play a major role, only in more complex form built from the real-world. Hopefully this speaks volumes of the evolution and maturity of the series where Inquisition is concerned.
We'll have more from Cameron Lee soon, so stay tuned."
Well, being that Cassandra is, thus far, the only companion that appeals to me as an LI, I was gonna romance her regardless of whether I played a male or female inquisitor the first time through. If she's straight, that'll just make up my mind which I play as.
Still, hope she turns out as bi. I don't enjoy anyone crying.

With this announcement, too late for that. People will lose out of the target of their affections.
Holy mother of God
Yeah... am I the only one that scared out of my wit, yet madly attracted to her at the same time?

Yup.
"The different types of sexual orientation of the different kinds of characters around you is also more complex than in previous games. "
I'm going to mull over this a bit. It suggests more than 'they were bisexual before and now they're straight and gay' to me, though it could also allude to that.
In DA II, you could rival Fenris as a slaver and blood mage. In DA:O, you could be a shining, heroic paladin and befriend/romance Morrigan by giving her enough gifts*. I wonder if DA:I love interests may have exclusions for race, gender, and various actions during the game.
I could see them putting in those sort of thorny romance paths you had in BG II as well.
*Sorry Barkspawn, that meaty bone you just dug up is going to the witch.
This is the more important part for me. I'm actually laughing right now too at the thought that you get dumped by two LI's if you were romancing them at the same time now too. ![]()
Holy mother of God
Damn!
Holy mother of God
Oh, Cassandra, queen of my heart and soul. I waited so long for this. So long. I hope I can hear her say 'bullshit' again. I love her voice so much and her face and her everything. I can't wait to argue with her.
I can't help but laugh every time at the scene where she threatens the Inquisitor because I kept thinking it sort of went like this for a character that plans on romancing her:
Cass: *Points sword to throat to threaten his life*
Inquisitor: Mi amor
Pfft, never mind me, I'm just too excited by all this new info.
She looks so good in the new footage, wow. Has her face been tweaked since the gameplay demo we had seen a while back? Her face looks softer, but it could just be that we could actually see her in HD this time.
Y'know, one thing I don't like is how closed her eyes are. I dunno, seems to squinty to me. I don't know how she sees. lol
She's still stunning though.
Well, context being everything; she is squinting in that image as she's narrowing her eyes at the inquisitor.
I am now 99 % sure that Cass wil be a male-only option. Oh happy day.
Who knows, maybe she'll surprise us.
I'm not betting on it, but there's always hope.
Why is that?I am now 99 % sure that Cass wil be a male-only option. Oh happy day.
Why is that?
Because I firmly believe that the NPC romances will be the bisexual ones. This leaves 2 straight and 2 gay LIs in the party. Cassandra has previously shown interest (slight as it was) in men, therefore she won't be the gay LI.
Plus, I feel like Bioware will try to defy expectations my making the most butch-looking woman in the party completely and utterly straight.
Apart from that, every previous game (other than DA2) has turned out the same way. The one LI I wanted wasn't available to me. Previous experiences, coupled with available information and a horrible gut feeling leaves no doubt in my mind.
(I will also admit that I am a naturally negative person, though. I have been right with every one of my romance predictions as of yet, however.)
