Mages always think they're special.

 

At least it's not as bad as the Tevinter thread though. :D

They soil themselves and die when you put a sword in their guts, just like everyone else.  They can't be that special.

Of course we do. Who else can you find that will do "the electricity thing" or have something for every occasion (dirty spells) ? What, you expect rogues to carry around some aphrodisiac grenade or something ? 

 

Magic doesn't just have to exist to serve man and not rule over him, it can exist to serve in bed.  :P

You guys locked us up in a big-ass tower with nothing to do but talk to people with similar ideals.

The self-importance thought is merely a natural by product of this.

Also from a young age First Enchanter Irving told me I was special, so I'm going to be quite unnerved if

this isn't the case...

You know, we have an option, I believe, to sentence a mage to Tranquility.

 

Just imagine if that mage is Regalyan...

 

Even better, imagine that the Inquisitor that passes that judgement is a male Magequisitior that is interested in Cassandra, found out about Galyan and decides to do it out of jealously. 

 

Even if something did happen between them (I hope it did, back story never hurts) that's pretty damn petty. I know it's a joke, but really who would do that?

I really want to like mages.. but the fascination with pure mind power is strange to me.

 

I'm a tool person. Whether it's screwdrivers,  hammers, or the tactile nature of playing my guitar. I like using tools and instruments, empowering myself through other objects. I think the fascination with magic plays into some other need I don't fully appreciate. It's more hands free and cerebral.
