Yes, but just imagine it for a moment.
Here is Lavellan: An elf, a Dalish, a mage, probably believes in the Creators or doesn't give a damn about believing, sarcastic & trolling expert (requirement of being a Dalish) and wary of humans.
Here is Cassandra: A human, descended from nobility, a mage-hunter (Templar is her specialization), an Andrastian, was formerly part of an organization that messed up the Dales, forward & brash.
See the problem ? As apostate puts it nicely, this is stupendously impractical.
Or, as I am planning....
Here is Lavellan: An First of a Dalish clan that is known as human-friendly clan(if the letter from his Keeper is any indication). Never comfortable with the Dalish mythos or ways of isolation, much less leading his people in them, he springs at the chance to leave his clan. After an event that should have killed him, he is saved by a spirit in the Beyond that heavily resembles a human woman who by all accounts saved the elves, and an elven hero, Shartan, personally revered and believed in. This makes a man think.
Here is Cassandra: A devoutly religious, but still relatively tolerant Seeker who is forced to confront the idea that her prophet, Andraste, chose a Dalish mage to carry out he will of the Maker and save the world from chaos and death. That's right, her prophet and her god chose this man. This makes a woman think.
We also must remember that Cassanda isn't going to fall for a man whose actions, on the whole, she doesn't approve of. Me, I don't see the problem with the romance, if done right. Love doesn't always make sense.

I disagree. Cassandra is essentially a maverick. She will go against tradition, duty, and faith if she must.
She's no longer a noble.
She's not a mage-hunter. At this point, she is truly a "seeker of truth" (which is far more complex than simply hunting mages, given the wide range of enemies and obstacles that the Inquisition is facing). She seeks the truth because she wants justice, as impartial as possible.
Her worldview is expanding. Mages are not the enemy anymore (and perhaps never were). People with chaotic intentions, whether they be mage or not, are the enemy.
The fall of the Dales happened hundreds of years ago. Cassandra had no part in it. My Inquisitor is not foolish or petty enough to throw blame at her.
There are plenty of serious Dalish by the way, including my elven mage. The Lavellan clan is supposedly friendly too.
Also....Andraste herself (human) and Shartan (elf) were lovers ![]()

Ahem...you know she was married right? With two kids?
I think she was a good friend to Shartan, but lovers? Nah.

Odd? More like stupendously impractical fiction.
You know me. Playing Dragon Age for its realism.

Amen. I think the Cass romance fits with all Inquisitors.

I never said the keep was a game I just meant its the closest possible viable time-sink like thing I can get into before Nov18.
Like how some play another game to kill the time I'm hoping the keep will keep me atleast alittle occupied tweaking the various decisions coming up with an ideal worldstate.
It might, it really depends on how much you fiddle with decisions.
As far as Cass x Anything non human mage pairing... I imagine if it were that impractical, she would be racegated, and she's not. That won't change people's personal pairing preferences, of course, but I just find seeing other pairings as silly to be rather... silly, given the lack of gating beyond gender for her.

It is a nice dress though (other than maybe the slight bit of boob window; it's not really bad, but those things always kind of made me roll my eyes). Would be interesting to see the Inquisitor's team all dressed up for a ball. I have a fondness for fancy scenes in movies and games, heh.

That dress looks pretty great on her, but it would seem dresses are rather unpopular for the Inquisition thus far.

Depending on your definition of romance, that may happen in Inquisition. I mean, the hand-reaching in the Fade looks pretty intense from what we've seen so far, and most folks are thinking that was Andraste. Andraste, bisexual, non-racegated LI, semi confirmed rumor.
One problem, though. I don't think we need a catfight between Cassandra and Andraste. That's not gonna work out for anyone. On the other hand, Dorian and Andraste having a little word-tussle could be fun. Or Iron Bull saying, "Mind if I join in? Just pretend I'm the Maker...."
Sigh....this is why I can't have nice, made-up religions....
