Huehue. I always like this one. Most people aren't going to be with someone they don't find physically attractive. If the game could actually tell what the PC looked like beyond rendering them, this would probably even be true in DA.

What I was implying is that Cassandra probably doesn't have arbitrary standards of physical attractiveness and is open-minded. I'm not denying the possibility that "people don't want to be with people who they don't find attractive". Rather, I'm suggesting that Cassandra is capable of finding dwarves attractive (in spite of what other people might think about dwarves). Hence, she is willing to be with a dwarf. However, I think that she would be more discriminating when it comes to personality and values.

Same here. For Cassandra, I think that will be a far more pertinent issue than physical appearance.

 

As well as Adaar being a mercenary (hired muscle with potentially shaky loyalty) and Lavellan being Dalish (a group that espouses an ideology which the Chantry actively opposes).

 

Cassandra herself is viewed as a traitor for leaving the Chantry (to which she gave decades of service) to form the Inquisition (which can be actively opposed to the Chantry). She has been re-evaluating her own values, as well as her role in the world. I think this process will allow her to accept that her significant other is a former criminal or mercenary, as well as from another culture.

 

Cassandra was able to reconcile the fact that Galyan was both a mage and a good person, perhaps having a relationship with him and perhaps being a catalyst for her mental transformation/"soul searching". She was able to reconcile the fact that Meredith was both a dutiful templar and a corrupt enforcer (and blamed her for "provoking the Circle"). According to Miranda Raison, Cassandra is also capable of reconciling with Varric (a dwarf with criminal connections who is also a loyal friend to Hawke).
