>Game been in development for almost 5 years as human only.

As long as the Inquisitor is male and doesn't have completely conflicting values, then I think Cassandra will look past any racial differences.
Race will obviously be brought up, but I think the context will be more focused on culture than race itself.
Trevelyan comes from the same culture as Cassandra while Lavellan, Adaar, and Cadash come from different cultures.
If Trevelyan were an Avaar barbarian or a Rivaini pirate, then I think that cultural differences would also be brought up.

More like "almost three years," according to Mike Laidlaw at Pax Australia.
Presumably, BioWare was considering bringing back multiple races even back when DA3 was "human only". Jennifer Hepler, the original writer for Cassandra, actually led a team devoted to the non-human races (according to her LinkedIn account).

Development for DA:I began when they finished Origins, not Dragon Age 2.
I imagine our race will be mentioned in the romance, class if we're a mage given her history with them, but otherwise I see no reason why any man couldn't pursue a relationship with Cassandra.

And what does this have anything to do with Cassandra exactly?
She was written after they took the decision to have playable races (more like re-written, depending how you look at it).

Absolutely nothing, because the topic wasn't about Cassandra. We were pretending to argue over which race was better to play as, because someone was wondering if we were being serious. That topic just branched off from that.
We are at a critical low in terms of all things Cassandra here.
Low on fanart.
Low on Screenshots.
Low on actual Cassandra discussion.
Actually you're right. So let's have some art!

Here's a screenshot.
Thanks for this!
I wonder what Cassandra's room/area in Skyhold will look like, what kind of personal affects she has in it.

Hmm. I can see something rather spartan: a bed, a desk, a bookcase, maybe a sofa and a low table?
Also we need more of Cass side-lopped grin!

Regardless of when development began, Cassandra's original writer Jennifer Hepler was heavily involved in the writing of all four races. She was also known as the "Queen of the Dwarves" because of her heavy involvement in the dwarven storylines and characters in DAO.
I imagine Gaider, being the lead writer, was also heavily involved in writing for the multiple races. In fact, Gaider himself has said that there will be alot more race-specific content than what was originally planned for the human backgrounds. He also took over writing duty for Cassandra when Hepler left.
I think it's safe to say that elven, qunari, and dwarven Inquisitors who romance Cassandra will have at least as much content as human Inquisitors who romance her.

Grinning Cass looks adorable - Avatar-worthy in fact. ![]()
Somebody get a screenshot of her in that mercenary outfit yo.

Do you mean that one?

Any XBox One players here thinking of paying for EA Early Access to get the game(up to 2-6 hrs of it, anyway) on the 13th? I'm considering it just for the CC. And for the high amount of Cassandra early in the game. $6 lunch for one day. I can afford to skip that in exchange for four days of access to the character creator. I mean, I'm already getting the system for the game(though I'm committing to Xbox due to the Halo franchise). Mind as well splurge.
I'm thinking of starting my blackout that day anyway. Doubtless there will be spoiler threads for the early game. I'd just as soon experience that for myself.

I agree with you about the blackout, personally, I will stop looking for info about DA:I as soon as 13 too, I alwaus love to play it "blind" the first time then go see what I messed up or what I could do to make it different for the next playthroughs I will certainly do.
About the One, I wish PS4 had EA Access
!!! And I also wish the PC version would have something like that too... ![]()
Oh well, I will just have to wait to play it on PS4/PC ![]()
*snip*
Like I said higher up on this page. It had absolutely nothing to do with Cassandra in the slightest. It was about how my character is better than all of yours. Now if you want to continue forcing a conversation no one wants to have. Take it to the PMs. There are a lot of things I can bring up there that will also have nothing to do with Cassandra that involve just how much better humans are than everyone else. And I'm sure you're dying to hear them.
As to EA early access, eh. Nowhere near worth it.

But can't you sign up for only 1 month for $5 then get 10% off digital dragon age's which would be more than $5 off? seems worth it to me, I wish it was on ps4.
I find it really hard to play any race besides human, initially was going to play:
mage!mTrevelyan x cass
warrior!fAdaar x sera
rogue!fLavellan x jose
But i'm pretty sure they will all be human.
Not sure if its been discussed but how do you people find Cassandra's scar?
Because I absolutely love it ![]()

It's not worth it all. I'd rather just buy the game tax free than "save" money to play it for 3 hours a few days early.
i love it gives her a certain allure... hope to have a matching scar... on my inq's backNot sure if its been discussed but how do you people find Cassandra's scar? Because I absolutely love it
