The first one sounds like an joke, while the second is probaly meant to taunt her, considering Cassandra and the Inquisitor start with the wrong foot.

I never fail to be impressed with the design of the scar. It puckers and slightly pulls the skin, just like a real life scar of a bad cut. Just a big thumbs up to whoever designed that and executed it. So many scars in video games are nothing more than red lines.
