So that video makes me wonder, will we able to initiate a romance without picking the flirt options? Personally i'd rather not be forced to pull a Galyan and win Cass's heart by annoying her with cheesy flirtations. Nothing against those who do of course.

At some point you need to use the heart-shaped options to lock a romance. No way to avoid the cheese...if any was planned.

 

Although, I was kind of surprised by the "spoiled" flirt, it sound a lot more like "you are a scary lady" than "I think I like you".

I've run into them before (at least in Old Republic).  Its when the flirt option is actually more of flattery/showing you care for them than humorous flirting.

I was under the impression there was a submenu for romance, with a few variations so you could do shy tender romance or flirty romance kinda thing? I'm still scarred from my Hawke being so crass with Merrill, I would be disappointed if all romance dialogue were blunt "I wanna jump you" lines. That won't suit my quiz at all.

Oh come on, we're still using the Heart icons for romances again?  That's so BORING and way too easy!  Make me at least TRY to think about which option would be best for romancing an LI!  I mean hello!  It should be like a mini puzzle almost!  That was half the fun in other games!  Trying to figure which response got you a "Morrigan approves" or a

Yeah in an earlier twitch feed they stated that dialouge icons could be switched off if you wanted to simply go off the text phrases...

But I'm till scarred from Mass Effect's 2 system where I would often find myself going: "o.o thats not what I meant at all Miranada...forgive me..."

Even without the heart icon I think it would still be obvious which is the flirt option.

I actually saw my grandfather in that picture before seeing Santa; looks completely like him (minus the horns of course)  . 

 

It was interesting to see how Cassandra reacted to being flirted with. It was also interesting to see a Qunari with a bushy beard doing the flirting (wish I could've heard their voice during the scene though).

In one of the twitch demos I've seen, Gaider said that we will have the option to turn off dialogue cues/symbols if we want to.

I really like how she looked in that one mercenary outfit a few screenshots back. I wonder if this will be my first but not last case of Hey this armor is kinda crappy but looks really cool on you, wear it forever. I know I'm going to wear the warden battlemage outfit long after its useful, so freakin cool.
