Just guessing here, but I would probably say there's an event (still part of prologue kinda) near the beginning of the game where after you're either taken in on suspicion of being the one behind the attack or simply related to the event, another veil opens nearby that shows how your character is capable of leadership and demonstrates the ability to close veils.

 

Are you talking about the scene where Varric says "It's raining demons" and you can see the Inquisitor fell down?

 

I have the impression that the game is about becoming a leader, not being one from the get go.

 

Someone asked yesterday if Leliana would sing again in DA: I - which made me think. How would Cass sound if she would sing? 

 

I could see her sing her own version of the Rains of Castamere

Cassandra's vo (Miranda Raison) is a trained singer. The result would be much better than plugging in someone else singing on a character at least.

I can't help but think now of that "We are family" song from Ice Age 4 xD It doesn't help either that The Inquisitor and Cass would be the "Mother and Father" of the Inquisiton"

Serious. She even sang in a Doctor Who episode (Daleks in Manhattan).

 

But I'm not sure how much singing and Cassandra go together. It's not because the voice actor can do it that it fits the character.

while you roam around skyhold at night you hear a humming and when you go look for the sound's source, you find Cassandra humming while she's leaning on one of the balconies, after a conversation she then tells you the song was one her brother used to hum for her and that it would relax her in the worst of times.

Her only worry was to follow through her book-stabbing lessons, as expected of a young lady of noble upbringing. But then everything changed when the Fire Nation the blood mages attacked...

The same way she handle everyone she doesn't know: greeting them with a sword/dagger under their throat + suspicious glares.

 

 

He hatred of mage was sort of dealt with in Dawn of the Seekers. It was never based on fear like 99% of the Andrastian population anyway, it was based on wanting justice for her brother that turned into blind vengeance.  And despite that "hate", she believed that mages should have more power in the Circle in a conversation with Galyan in the anime.

No, no, you got it wrong. According to Allan Schumacher, stabbing paper is a social power move in Thedas    If the Inquisitor wants to be respected, they need to learn it. Just having keeps, armies, merchants, spies, mercenaries, nobles, etc. is not enough.

 

Probably Cassandra has been teaching him, but the poor lad is having problems to do it right (look at the other daggers in the map). Now, after the last angry attempt, emotions are flowing out.

-Cassandra: "Not like that! How many times do I have to explain it?!"

-Varric: "Pal, I know is tiresome, but maybe if you lower the dagger a bit more..."

-Cullen: "Boss, maybe you should stop and rest".
