*stands up, waves hand*

In order to depart from the sweat, BDSM, torture and disgust I would like to say why I think I will like the character.

Cassandra seems to be the type of women I like to befriend in life. She has a strong character, she will take no bullshit but that doesn't mean she is cold, no I think that she will be kind to those that are close to her. She is *the believer*, I have strong respect for people who are of strong faith. I hope I will have a good time exploring her character in Dragon Age Inquisition.

*sits down*

There was a review claiming Cassandra was attempting to reconcile her faith with her actions.

I assume this means she will genuinely believe the Inquisitor was sent by the Maker and is feeling conflicted over having betrayed Andraste's Chantry in order to save the world.

The problem is that Andraste didn't start the Chantry. Some of her followers did after she died. How much of Andraste's original message has been lost, replaced, and/or misinterpreted since her death?

Cassandra is having to deal with the possibility that the Chantry, which has guided her life for decades, might not be the ultimate authority on what is right and wrong. Because someone like the Inquisitor exists, it is possible that the Chantry is wrong. Maybe Andraste herself is opposed to the Chantry.

So i gave in and watched bits and pieces of Angry Joe's preview. That opening hour of the game is friggin intense, to put it lightly. Right in the middle of a warzone intense. Quite a far cry from DAII's prologue. Naturally Cass is heavily involved in the narrative due to her position, tho i expect that to tally off a little as the inquisitor grows in power and influence.

Oh man, dis game's gunna be gud. CANNOT WAIT.

Probably anywhere from 80-85% of her original message has been lost, replace, and/or misinterpreted. (I would think)

The amount of change that Thedas is/about to be going through will have massive impacts on each one of our companions, while this is somewhat obvious to say....I still said it.

I wonder if both Iron Bull and Cassandra while have crisis's of faith during their arcs.

I'm not too sure if Cassandra is going to have a crisis of faith has much has doubting the Chantry's version of it.

*overly dramatic voice* Is that not in within itself but a crisis, man?

The Chantry is like the dominate religion in world, her suddenly realizing it might be bull/having doubts, means big deal.

Her faith is believing in the Maker/Andraste, she can still believe in that while doubting the Chantry.

80-85% of change won't happen in this game. Don't get your hopes up.

Just meant in the many years since 80-85% damage done, over time. Not expecting to redo all that (who knows maybe they were spot on with what Andraste wanted all those years ago) in a single game. Not sure how i gave off that impression, but yeah over the years and what not I think a decent amount could have been "lost" or simply left out.

I was typing on my phone. The first response was supposed to be more like, there is no "massive change coming," that will be anywhere near like your claim of 85% distortion, which I doubt is the case anyway.

The rest was I doubt either will have some type of faith identity crisis.

Since we're meeting our Hawke in the game and if there a chance of seeing his/her love interest, how do you think Cassandra will react towards Merrill if you happened to romanced her?

Given the recent spoilers in the Elder One thread, I believe that the appropriate reaction from not just Cassandra but, indeed, all of Thedas upon meeting Hawke should be "KILL HIM BEFORE HE KILLS US ALL!"

You think neither companion will have one? Really? I was thinking at least one not so much both.

But ok, If you had to choose one to have a crisis, you would pick who and why?

I doubt the Qun will have that much of an impact, so Cassandra if I had to choose one. Even then it's more of her faith in what's left of the Chantry than the Maker.

As far I know, that is an assumption. A fair one but it is not confirmed as of yet.

Here's another video with some more Solas and Cassandra banter around 5:20! And it's actually really awesome, I already love their relationship!

Solas: It is a comfort to have you present on our journeys, Seeker.

Cassandra: You so rarely call me by my name, Solas. Why is that?

Solas: Manners, perhaps.

Cassandra: Manners have not held you back on other occasions.

Solas: I say what I believe to be true, even if it gives offense to those who prefer the lie. But there is no lie in what you are. Your position is an honorable one, and well earned.

So Solas... those elven women, hm? Really good looking. I know a few nice ones you should really meet.

We've already been over this, bro. Even Solas can't resist.
