Just to change the subject a little bit: do you all think we'll be "punished" if we romance Cassandra with anything but a human non-Mage? I had wanted to be a human male rogue for a while, but now I'm actually leaning toward Dalish Mage.

The only thing is, I don't want a crap non-human female romancing Alistair type ending, and with Cassandra possibly in line for the throne in an unstable country, I dunno if Dalish romance is going to end well.

Anyone have any thoughts?

And about Cassandra's age...
Rick Nascimento ‏@r1ck182 @bengelinas One last question (for now? haha). Can you tell the year Cassandra was born? =P
Ben Gelinas ‏@bengelinas @r1ck182 The answer to that one will have to wait. :)
Rick Nascimento ‏@r1ck182 @bengelinas hahaha I can live with this. Thanks anyway. =]

That's weird. Do they not want to reveal her age because it plays some pivotal role in the story (don't see how) or because they think it might turn immature people off if they reveal she's 40ish?

We won't be going to Nevarra and thus I doubt an inheritance she might have will come into play.

Even if it did, I wouldn't call it a punishment so much as the different type of person your character is leading to different type of story in accordance to the lore.

I don't see if happening, expecially in DAI Where we won't go in Nevarra.

I'm Fine with different content, though the problem with Alistair was that he dumpes you and you can't do anything if he's Not hardened (I think). Many people couldn't Possibly know it was going to happen.

I expect bad things to happen anyways. It's par for the course in pretty much anything Gaider has written.

Give me one example that proves otherwise..

Cassandra isn't in line for any thrones anyway. Also, there's no marriage.

You know what? I guess you're right. The only issue there is getting over the humps along the way. They don't necessarily end badly though.

Fenris has slowly been dying of unstable lyrium tattoos for over ten years.

I like having humps along the way. It makes things more interesting.

How do you know this?
Regardless, the Romance still ends well in the game.

I prefer going through early troubles too. It's realistic enough. And if that means moving on to less tragic endings, I'll take it.

I think he was joking about the tattoos... but it could happen!

Indeed, it can theorically happen. I was just wondering if I missed something in the game.

I'm not joking. Google it. Without having them made stable by a mage, Fenris will die. Also, saying a romance ends well in game means little really.

I think and hope the former.

The topic started about Cassandra's Romance possibly ending badly depending on your pc though.

What do you mean it means little? People just like different roleplaying opportunities. As long as you're not written in a corner, then that qualifies as "ending well" for most people. It doesn't have to be explicit.

On a sidenote, I'm more optimistic than usual with the Inquisitor's story... seeing that we get to play post-Main Quest. That's a big change.

I found some tumblr mentioned Gaider saying Fenris' tattooes might be like mercury poisoning and Danarius mantaining them. I do recall now the mercury thing. Fair enough.

Why isn't she in line for any thrones? I'm under the impression she is not that far down the list, and if she becomes prominent in the Inquisition, she might be a popular pick to avoid weaker rulers which might lead to civil war.

To the best of my recollection, the English throne was given and/or taken by nobility with less "right" to the throne, as a compromise candidate that would prevent bloodshed. I think it may have happened a few times, but William of Orange comes to mind.

I see little opportunities in trying to override the word of god.(Gaider) In that case, nothing ever ends badly, which is fine, but in the end not a part of the continuity. That matters to some people. Not to me though
