No, you're right. I saw in a streaming a male elf pc with a blue GW mage outfit and he lookes way better.
The major problem is that there's a lot of interaction in Skyhold with that outfit.

In a way, I like the beige outfit because it is tight which means it shows the body of the Inquisitor well. I am quite sure if you strip the male elf to his birthday suit, you will find a very gaunt and scrawny elf...

Yeah but solas has his own unique body like every companion. I think NPCs and the PC share the same body types.

..The NPC elf you posted wears some armor that makes his shoulders look big and the Grey Warden mage armor also makes the shoulders look big so there's that.

I'm looking at the size of his biceps, not his shoulders. His biceps clearly have more girth compared to the images showed of the inquisitor in the skyhold uniform. Plus others have stated the male elf's proportions look better in other types of outfits. It has to be these tighter outfits that does this to his body.

Probably, I recall the rogue and warrior elf in the official site looking better then the mage elf.

I'm still torn between Necromancer and rift mage /o\ still torn between archer and mage as well. Dermit bioware! So many good options.
Yeah the skyhold outfit is kinda bad though. I like the military jacket look we will be wearing for the Orlais ball more than it lol

So, warriors and rogues are in better shapes, but when in skyhold outfit and nakes they have the same body of mage elves. Makes sense .
