so which side do you think Cassandra would recommend you choose in the Orlesian civil war?

I could see her being drawn to the more practical, militaristic Gaspard, but I can also see her being furious that he would betray his empress in the middle of so much chaos.

Or maybe she couldn't care less and just wants them both to sort their act out and aim their armies at the demons rather than each other.

I think she wouldn't have a preference, personally. Or side with the one who has better relationship with the Chantry.

I hope something like this is the case. I'm slightly concerned that my diplomatic, not very military-orientated Inquisitor may end up butting heads with Cassandra over a lot of things, like siding with Celene.

First post ever!

I have had a very intense crush on Cassandra since her Dragon Age ][ debut. I was ecstatic when I found out not only that she will be a companion, but and romanceable companion at that. I don't quite understand why she is getting so much hate on her appearance, moreso her jaw, but I presume it's to each their own.

I can see Cassandra focusing more on the chantry than the Politics, but also who would be better for chantry relations.

The Best Decisions an inquisitor can make are those that look after all the people in the long term, Cassandra seams like the type that would see the bigger picture as we see from the 30 minutes of gameplay trailer. in the end its your best judgement.

You need to keep the character's goals in mind here. I think we already know Cassandra's goals, she mention this in the trailer: close the Breach, catching whoever is responsible and bringing back order.

She would probably prefer the choice that bring back order the fastest to Orlais and that would be Celene I believe, Gaspard is a warmonger and started the Civil War. It also possible that she's more about how the alliance is conducted (aka at what price for the Inquisition) than the whom in this case.

Agreed, there can be only ONE WARMONGER..... THIS GUY! *points to himself*

I suppose it would depend on who would be willing to support the Inquisition and what they would bring to the table. Vivienne is more of an expert in the field of Orlesian politics and would probably be able to give a better opinion.

Gaspard is the more direct option and isn't as devious as Celene (by Orlesian standards) but he's more pro-status quo. Celene is more of an empress of the people, but I'd trust her as far as I could throw her.

I wouldn't trust either of them. But I think if Celene saw you had similar goals, you could trust her to a point. She did manage to keep peace with Ferelden for 20 years. She might try to get the upper hand, but who wouldn't?

Spoiler
I'm sure he could find a similar loophole in his honour to attack the Inquisitor if he felt it was beneficial. So I see no reason to trust Gaspard any more than Celene.

As for Cassandra. Justinia is fairly progressive. So I suppose it may depend on how big of an influence Justinia was on Cassandra. But perhaps it's more likely that she will care more about the immediate future and just go along with whatever you choose.

She has two, and so far no. They weren't there in DA2 though so it must of happened between games.

Seems like it'll be Cassandra first then.

I am perfectly fine with that.

Same here if i had to choose one person to romance it would be her, she doesnt seem the type to easily make friends let alone fall in love and to be able to tame that stern attitude of hers into a romance is much more intriguing than most of the other romances we've had.

She's also more interesting then Viv and Sera, neither of whom I care for, not that we know who's romancable, but still, s'why I hope beyond hope that she's bi.

Viv didnt interest me until i read her letter to the Nevarran noble, she grammatically destroyed him impressed me. Sera i know too little about but from the "Pub" concept art she seems different which i welcome completely. But time will tell

While i do agree with this kind of. I'd like to add that we know alot more about Cassandra than both Viv and Sera.

It could be an addition from her character redesign, or she took some shrapnel in the Fadesplosion at the start of the game.
