While i do agree with this kind of. I'd like to add that we know alot more about Cassandra than both Viv and Sera.

I dunno, Viv is too upperclass fancy for me, and Sera is described as a brat through and through, and honestly I can't stand bratty characters, lol

I read too quickly and saw "weretable". That could explain why she stabs every table she runs into, you can never be too careful.

After watching Dawn of the seeker, i think Cassandra likes holding swords and daggers at people's throats almost as much as she does stabbing things.

I love her

I agree, Cassandra is a very multilayered character. Her attitude, quirks, and temper, along with her sense of honor and duty, are exactly what make her one of Dragon Age's greatest characters in my opinion  :)

Gimme 2 seconds to find the tweet, but Mike or Mark said that we actually get the two separately..

Yes, he did say that. Though i still think that Varric will be the first one to be recruited by the Inquisitor and Cassandra.

It could be an addition from her character redesign, or she took some shrapnel in the Fadesplosion at the start of the game.

They didnt seem fresh in the trailer. Im just assuming after years of fighting and being a a seeker, a blade of two found there way past her guard

My theory is that her stabbing of books and tables is due to both being made out of trees, stemming from her hatred of Sylvans in general. Particularly ones that are bad poets, which are damned near everywhere in Nevarra.

Cassandra: Excuse me, can you point me to...
Rhyming Sylvan: "You seek an audience with a tree, to find directions for places to see?"
Cassandra: Yes, if you could just...
Rhyming Sylvan: "I do indeed possess a map, close to my branches and bits of sap".
Cassandra: NO! No more bad puns! No more verse! No more riddles! Just speak normally!
Rhyming Sylvan: "I sense you are a tad angry, what brings outeth this rage against this simple tree? I am willing to provide thee with a map..."
Cassandra: "Fetch me an axe", she muttered!
Rhyming Sylvan: "... Oh crap?"

Seems like it'll be Cassandra first then.

I am perfectly fine with that.

I'm guessing maybe Varric first. He and the Inquisitor fight off the demons and are found by the Seekers. Que the "You're the only threat I see." bit from Cass before Varric vouches for Mr Inquisitor and the three head off for adventuring and merriment.

Cassandra also says that our soldiers found you (and that the PC walked out of the Fade), I don't think she would classify Varric as being "our soldiers".

But it has also been mentioned several times that we're the only survivors?

I don't think that while yelling at someone and threatening their life, she'd go "Our soldiers and a cute paragon of manliness found you..."

Perhaps while returning to a keep after finding the Inquisitor wandering around, they run into him fighting demons?

The PC is the only survivor because they are the only person found alive at the blast site. It doesn't mean that there was nobody outside the blast radius that saw it happen.

The narrative is longer than just stumble upon Varric, add to party, meet Cassandra, add to party (or they other way around). You're not necessarily going to meet both Varric and Cassandra at the same time, but both of them are around the Temple of Sacred Ashes and they traveled together from Kirkwall to get there (and we now know why Cassandra was looking for Hawke too, she wanted to bring him at the Peace Conference).

We also know that Cassandra bring the Inquisition idea up at the Temple of Sacred Ashes...and that can only happen after she interrogated you (and Leliana going all "he's a sign of the Maker"...it's so going to happen).

It actually kind of follows that there were other witnesses outside of the blast radius.

I mean, if there weren't, how do they know it was a "blast" at all?

Leliana saying the Inquisitor is a sign from the Maker would explain her bowing for the Inquisitor in one of the concept art. I really wonder if the Inquisitor is gonna be used as a symbol. A sign from the Maker - which would make it a bit easier to convince the different factions.

I guess Cassandra was hoping a pro-mage Champion would help persuade the autonomous mages, otherwise for a pro-templar Champion to convince Lambert's templars to attend the meeting.

We also know that Cassandra bring the Inquisition idea up at the Temple of Sacred Ashes...and that can only happen after she interrogated you (and Leliana going all "he's a sign of the Maker"...it's so going to happen).

That may also be the interpretation some Andrastians hold about the surviving protagonist, given how the place is sacred to them as the site of Andraste's ashes, and as the Redcliffe knights proved, some are very superstitious.

I expect lots of Andrastians to believe that and the Inquisition using it to their advantage (Andrastian! Join the Maker's savior today!).

I know Leliana is going to believe it at 100% even if the Inquisitor disagree, we are talking about a girl who had dreams from the Maker that told her to help against the Blight. I'm not so sure about Cassandra though, even if she can throw herself off a cliff saying that her death his for the Maker to decide, I don't see her as quick to believe that a random dude or dudette walking out of the Fade with the power to resolve the crisis is a divine agent despite how convenient it is. She's a bit too pragmatic and "I want to know the truth" for that.  Should spark interesting discussions early on in the game at least.

Oh, I can't wait to see how galling it will be for some people if they feel forced to accept becoming a religious/Andrastian symbol outside their personal control.

Be the Inquistior today. Be remembered and thought of as a proper Andrastian by the Chantry by generations forever after, even if you weren't.

Indeed. Cass must have been a witness. However, what surprises me is why she wasn't with the Divine herself...unless she was just coming back from Kirkwall to meet at the Urn, and she saw the blast as her group was approaching.
