Actually, she does the same even if you let Anders live. Certainly she never attacked my Hawke after it was revealed that I did.

Hawke wasn't around by the time Cassandra interrogated Varric. Though I'm interested to hear Cass views on a Hawke that fully sided with Anders. From what I've seen I suspect she won't be happy to say the least.

I meant verbally. When speaking with Varric, she didn't view my Hawke as any less heroic, or at least didn't indicate it.

And it's not a matter of siding with Anders, but of just not killing him.

Hmm, so Cassandra always views Hawke in a heroic light? Ah well, I guess DA 2 was even less reactive than I thought. lol

It isn't as though Hawke blew up the Chantry.

He only let a terrorist go free to murder again.

Technically, everyone let a terrorist go free to murder again. Hawke wasn't the only guy around him at the time...

Also, it was Meredith job to kill Anders, that was one of the weirdest moment of DA2 for me: crazy mage hater Knight-Commander Meredith do not kill Anders for blowing up a chantry with its Grand Cleric. O_o

Something that Cassandra either disagrees with you on or is disinclined to attack Hawke over.

We shall see. Regardless, he got the murder knife in my playthroughs.

I thought Cassandra implies the events were greatly exaggerated?

She does, but what she actually describes was very faithful to what I remember in the movie.

I look at it as no different then Paragon Lost. Yes, the events happened. But that "version" of it, I pretend did not happen. (Though Dawn of the Seeker wasn't that bad).

Before I started playing the 6 hour early access, I thought Cassandra would be a character I'd care less about. Both DA2 and Seeker didn't do much for me when it came to her character. And when it came to characters like Ash and Miranda, they didn't really do much for me. But they added a lot of humanity to her character in the few hours I played to far. She definitely might be the character I may romance for the main playthrough.

I think some things like fighting the Darkspawn Ogres and the Golems were one of those things that were exaggerated.  It wouldn't surprise me if it was just one golem or even just a group of bandits/soldiers instead in that scene.  It was sort of how like in DA2 there were the exaggerated scenes that Cassandra called Varric out on.

Except Cassandra has magical powers? Considering what we've learned about them, it's not that far fetched.

Its because Meredith cares more about that she now has an excuse to Annul the circle instead of protecting mages from the angry mob as per the description of being a templar she goes straight for annulment. Plus lets not forget the lyrium shard effecting her decision making.

I thought she was just a recruit back then and wasn't a full fledged Seeker?  And even then weren't her powers more suited for fighting off mages and demons instead?

I doubt the Seekers bring not-powered recruits to face bloodmages...that's kind of counter-productive.

The recruit thing was already addressed, but

I can't stop watching that first conversation video. She's brilliant.

Spoiler

This is the religious character I've been waiting years for.  Thank you, Bioware!

Leliana seems to have grown to be less religious kind of. If you seen her first conversation video, she seems to doubt the maker a bit.
