You'll know as soon as we know. Stop asking. From what I've seen, that doesn't even make any sense. If you have moral reservations, just think no.

Firstly, with all the spoiler tags, I don't know what you know, so....

Secondly, you must be misunderstanding me. I have no moral reservations toward anything in the romance, in the sense that morality means doing good/doing evil. I have reservations that Gaider thinks angst and unhappy endings equal great writing, but that's not at all a moral reservation.

Looks like regardless of romance or no, Cassandra could really use a good hug. There's just something about her character that makes my heart ache.

 

Going off on a bit of a tangent here, but OMFG the game is soooo CLOSE now, I can almost taste it!!!! This is THE fantasy epic that I have waited so many years for. I CANNOT wait to meet and befriend this rich, nuanced, and diverse cast of characters, especially Cassanda.

 

I liked Cassandra when the only info we had of her was that she's a hard-ass with a secret romantic side. Hell, I had no issues when I thought she would be an ice-queen persona, and we have to go through the "defrosting the ice queen" process again. But now we know she is more fire than ice, with passion for the cause, is an optimist, and has a genuine desire to do good. All the while without needing her ego stroked. Along with what appears to be a very poignant personal story arc, as well as a very...romantic romance arc, I think Cassandra just might be my favorite companion and romantic interest in a Bioware game to date.

 

 

Provided DAI doesn't pull off a ME3, I think it will easily fill the void left by DA:O, and then some. All signs points this as my GOTY (though I haven't really played much this year). /rant

I really don't understand why some people are so obsessed with each spoiler that gets revealed.

After years of D&D, fantasy/sci-fi novels, movies, TvTropes, etc. there isn't much plot wise that's to surprise me.

I've only really watched the videos of the first conversations with the followers and advisors. Not enough to spoil major plot points, but enough to feel out what they're like.

We got some spoiler-speculations going based on some file names which tell us nothing about the content of said file, how it happens, why or all the possibilities there is in the game. In other word, we do not know if Cassandra's romance has or not an angsty and/or unhappy ending.

I've seen nothing that suggest Cassandra importance to the plot, I don't even know how the plot is structured beside big large vague stuff. I've seen something that enforce the "sucker for romance" label though.

 

The girl is going to melt my heart, I know it.

I'm sure she has already melted mine . Its very refreshing to see a strong-willed female romantic interest who is NOT an ice queen. She has a hard exterior, but that is different. Add in an almost child-like wonder and fascination with romance and romanticism (the alternative definition of romance), an optimist/idealist who isn't blind or oblivious to the flaws of the world, and of course being a genuinely good person, and I find Cass to be irresistible. Like catnip

I will be rotating each character with Cass being the perma companion and relive the bridge of Orzammar banter all over gain while I go run around in circles to trigger em *evil smirk* I'm expecting she'll be teased heavily by other companions especially how stern she is on first impression from others.

First thing I'll do post-romance scene is to have Cass in my party along with the most likely trolls, namely Sera and one of Varric/Iron Bull/Blackwall/Vivi . The ensuing banter, OMG

My initial choice would be Leliana, though the doubts immediately crept in: She was once a bard/spy, became a chantry sister, became the Warden's companion, and then became the covert op Spymaster. She never strikes me as someone with the capability of taking on such mantle of Leadership. Plus, she's my Warden's waifu.

 

On to Vivi. People may claim that she's power hungry, but I believe she seeks power as a means to a more noble end. A mage as a Divine would be taken as an intent of progression, and she most definitely possess the guile, cunning, and stability to take on such a tricky position. So far, Vivi is one of the lesser-featured companions, and she may surprise us still.

 

Finally, Cass. Lolnope, she's Alec Trevelyan's waifu. And I do think her leadership qualities are better served elsewhere from the seat of the Divine.
