Since I was spoiled by the spoiler not in the spoiler tags, I went back and read everything...the whole deal reminds me, for whatever reason, of the conversation George and Jerry have in Seinfeld where George is trying to brainstorm jobs he could do.

George says he wants to be a broadcaster, and Jerry says, "Well, they generally give those jobs to ex-ballplayers or people, you know, in broadcasting."

Except in this case, it appears they gave the metaphorical broadcaster job to George.

I'd think Cass, Leliana, and Vivienne, while not completely unqualified for the job of the Divine, should be very very far down the list. I would have thought they gave the job of the Divine to people, you know, in the Chantry. (Yeah, yeah, I know Cass, Leliana and Vivienne are TECHNICALLY in the Chantry, but they're not of them performing any kind of religious-type jobs that I know of.). Just very weird.

I find the idea of the player being able to encourage Cass to become the New divine Kinda Stupid. She would be much better off (& Happier) Reforming the Seekers IMO. Being Made the new pope doesn't seem like a thing she would really want. Plus there would be much better candidates out there than her for the job. She is a follower, not an outright leader.

Just seems like giving the player a choice for the sake of having one. Being action Jesus dose have benefits but deciding who runs the Chantry shouldn't be one of them, especially considering non human inquisitors. Hell even the Human noble PC ins't even high up enough in tha chantry to make that call.

Plus seeing her in divine robes... no thanks. Bad ass seeker armour 4 life!

Some of us simply like to chat a little about Cass without seeing major story content. 
 
That's what the thread originally was for. It sucks if it becomes a place I don't want to visit.

yeah, but this is the internet where some people won't give a crap what others want and will do what they want.  Then there are also others who accidently let out some spoilers so complaining is kind of pointless when the safest bet is to just avoid the forums so close to release.

You can do what you want. I'm not going to change you or anything. I just think it sucks. It basically amounts to taking over territory, when you don't even run the forums. "You either like what we do or ****** off."

 

It doesn't have to be that way. We could just have casual convos about the game and have fun, like we always did. Instead of this. They've made a whole section for Spoilers in General. And gave you tags for spoilers. There's no reason not to use either one except to be a dick.

Nobody is trying to be a dick, on purpose at least. I'll use spoiler tags, but it wasn't me who spoiled the alleged ending choice. Just justifying for those who don't use spoiler tags.

That is what my Inquisitors will do, especially the non human Inquisitors.

So we have to choose between 3 people who would all be equally terribad at the job. Son.Of.A.Taint.  Any chance for an option to yell at them to bother the chantry people with chantry business and leave me to do my job of, you know, saving the world? That sound good?

Now that i think of it, i ain't paying them to meddle in chantry affairs either so GET BACK TO WORK LADIES!

 

And on a more serious note: Cass being one of the canditates is really suprising. I will be rather sad if she is the one who puts her name forwad. She's career military and the job of the divine is the last place where that style of leadership works and she should be well aware of it.
