Well, I decided to play a Mage!Knight Enchanter so that I can keep Cassandra in my party without any overlap.

I think Cass and Jossie fall in that category. But with Cassandra you have to make some "right" choises through the game and work harder on it.

I never hated Cassandra, really.  It's always just amazing to see such a hard-ass character show another side of themselves.  I love moments like that.  I'm glad I decided to romance her first.

The soft side was evident in Dawn of the Seeker if you looked close enough. I guess if you didn't watch anything about Cass anywhere before the game you might have the wrong impression.

Yeah, I have yet to watch Dawn of the Seeker, myself (yes, I know.  I'm a bad fan  )  My first impression of her was from DA 2.

Come to think of it, I probably shouldn't be so surprised.  I'm now recalling her reaction to the end of Act 2, after Hawke beats the Arishok in single combat.  It's not quite as much of a "squee" moment as in the above video, but it's there.

So I gave the mages their freedom, and I'm wondering if I just screwed myself out of the Cass romance.  Anyone know?

What ever you dont tell her your atheist it wont end well if your want a romance anything is better if your elf its fine in what you believe.

Considering the chaos that happens in DA I don't blame her for supporting a belief in any religion.

 

In real life I don't follow any religion. but I don't care if you support one as long as you aren't discriminating on others because your religion may say so and aren't trying to kill/enslave me. While if I was in the DA Universe I could seem myself being pretty religious when they have literal demons running around, Magic existing, Darkspawn, and the such.

I like how she kinda turns back to her "normal" self near the end there. XD
