Just to air out one other concern. 

 

 

I heard that someone made Vivienne divine by not interfering much at all. That tells me if you don't do much, then she is the next Divine. Yet if you actually do quests,romances, and enjoy all the content, you'll get screwed? The more you play, the more you get punished? At the end of the day, this is a game. And it's odd that a game would go over more smoothly if you're NOT that invested in it. Most games work the opposite way.

When they say not interfering much, is it just engaging in dialogue, or not interfering in the controversial topics regarding the chantry? Vivienne is status quo according to the guide, so if you weren't taking the other two stances in regards to the chantry with companion dialogue/choices then it would make sense for her to become the new divine.

Anyways, I hope I'm not being annoyingly whiny or something. The minute I heard about this Divine angle to the story, my enthusiasm for the game took a downturn. I got other things on my mind too. I'm trying to just chill.

No, not at all. As I mentioned, this is speculation on my part. I could very well be wrong. We'll know more when people comment on whether or not they romanced Cass, and if she did or did not become divine.

So...to make Leliana not become Divine like I want, I have to make her even more bitter and cold.

ruggles did that and still got Leliana as Divine, m8. It may have some effect, but I don't think it's major.

Welp... Cassandra became Divine in my romanced playthrough. Even though I supported leliana so me and cass could be together. Guess that leaves my inquisitor to go after leliana one cass leaves. Another thing is even though Cass became divine we never broke up. She said something like " no matter what even if were apart i'll always stand by your side". Something like that.

I'm not sure, but it definitely ends from what I've seen. It's not some long term relationship, more of a, "I'll always love you," kind of thing. Mentions being Divine, then post game dialogue reverts, etc.

you're pretty much locked into Cass becoming Divine? That's awful. Well trolled, Gaider. You know that LI you spent the whole game getting to know? Well, she's leaving forever! It would be one thing if Cass was obviously the best choice for Divine, but she isn't...it's Mother Giselle and it's absurd she's not even an option. Rant over.

Cass or Thedas. The absolute hardest choice in this game. On the one hand, the Keep is a thing so any choices you make can be "corrected." On the other, Cass is definitely the best Divine, even if she needs us to keep the nobles and common folk in line.

Though I agree that she would make a great Divine, I think Thedas would be better served by her continuing being a Seeker.

I see her as the best, but I don't think Vivi is all that bad. I never wanted to change the world to begin with. That was Anders' stupid schtick. I was fine and happy, going about my merry way. Her downside has to do with elves, but that makes it somewhat interesting, if they touch on that subject in a new game. 

 

As an elf fan though, I'm feeling distant from them suddenly. I have more reasons to dislike them now. Maybe losing the Dales was right, after all. Damn heretics.   

 

I agree, and I would make it happen if I understood how any of this works.
