Though I agree that she would make a great Divine, I think Thedas would be better served by her continuing being a Seeker.

I see her as the best, but I don't think Vivi is all that bad. I never wanted to change the world to begin with. That was Anders' stupid schtick. I was fine and happy, going about my merry way. Her downside has to do with elves, but that makes it somewhat interesting, if they touch on that subject in a new game. 

 

As an elf fan though, I'm feeling distant from them suddenly. I have more reasons to dislike them now. Maybe losing the Dales was right, after all. Damn heretics.

Not all that bad? Vivienne keeps the exact same system that got us in this mess to start with. Cassandra is moderate progressive and Leliana is revolutionary. They're infinitely better choices for Divine compared to Vivienne.

Making choices for the rest of Thedas that they don't want is not infinitely better. It'll just cause the same problems, this time from the otherside. At least putting the status quo back in has a 900 year track record of peace. That's an insanely long amount of time.

No one got us in this mess except Anders. And maybe the red lyrium sword meredith had. I didn't mind her too much without it. There were abuses, but it wasn't never catastrophic. I can deal with abuses and the lack-of-perfection. This is something that can be corrected on a case by case level, if you rebuild the Seekers. 

 

Hell, I don't even think Lambert was that bad. He was put in a bad situation, but his main concern was legit. He was from Tevinter. He knew better than anyone.

That kind of arcaic thought is just holding us back. Anders was merely an result of an utterly broken system. Do you really think he would have done what he did if the Chantry and the templars didn't gave him reason? I just wonder Street, would these abuses be ok for you if someone you cared about fell victim to it? What if an templar raped your sister, or executed your father? Would still be acceptable? This is BS. If you can show indiference to these things, then I might as well show indiference to what Anders did. The **** do I care if he killed those priests? I didn't knew any of them. I have no reason to care. I'll just stay blissfuly ignorant of it.

The other thing that stands out about Vivi is there is a dose of mercy for mages with her as Divine. It can inspire mages to see another mage in that position. 

 

But it'll only encourage the good ones. The exceptional ones. Not piece of sh*t upstarts like Anders.

Is there a way to make Vivienne Divine?  Because I openly supported her and the Conclave said, "NOPE!" and elected Leliana instead.

Anders is the result of himself getting possessed, not being oppressed. He actually lived in one of the most lax Circles in Thedas. 

I'd say the main reason the rebellion he wanted got off the ground was because the Circles were inconsistent, which was more or less the main point Vivienne made.

And even while possessed, he still kept an low profile apart from the whole Alrik situation. He would have not blown up the chantry in Kirkwall if the templars weren't so abusive. The destruction of the chantry is merely an result of their abuses backfiring on them.

Funny tangent story: As I was watching some Tranformers: Prime yesterday I saw this quote from Optimus Prime:

This made me think that Viv might actually be a good choice. Better than Cassandra even.
