So can i still romance Cassandra if i play as an atheist mage? so far i've lost a lot of approval for me saying i don't believe in the maker.

Nope. My Inquisitor was an atheist mage, who allied with the rebels, who decided to be indirect & cautious as opposed to head on, thought that the whole Herald thing was bullshite...and suffice to say...he and Cassandra did not go along well...

I finished the game two days ago and got Cassandra elected divine, don't think the romance ended, but I didn't play on afterwards

Well what happens afterwards is basically the same for everyone. It's how you take her last words that matter, I've noticed. Seemed pretty over to me. Of course we'll definitely know by the time dlc that isn't multiplayer related roles around.

Kinda sad to know that Cassandra's election as the new Divine puts an end/problematic resolution to Her relationship with the inquisitor. It could continue in some fashion in future DLC & I suspect it will.

David likes to write a bit of drama/angst into his Romances: Morrigan, Alistair, Fenris & to some extent Dorian. So I doubt this will be the last chapter of their relationship. At least I hope not.

Even if the follow up content is of a sadder tone I still think we will get something. Hell I thought the Morrigan Romance was finished after origins but look how that turned out  :) Remain Positive! (Although **** got real serious in DA:I, After some Lovey dovey stuff, BOOM more angst straight to the feels!)

We will just have to wait & see. David is NOT the type of writer to let the players feels go un-scared, So expect more Emotional manipulation as their relationship

develops  Yay! Know the pain, love the pain!

+ Cassandra in Divine Chantry robes... **** NO! Bad Ass Seeker Armour 4 life!

Also anyone else notice that Cassandra Writes Left Handed? After you finish "Here in lies the Abyss"  she documents what happened in the fade when you talk to her, it was there that I noticed it. Nice touch Bioware.

Nah she didn't but obviously romance is not an option...

I have a question and I apologize if they've been addressed but this thread is over 700 pgs long and finding the answer might be difficult.

I want to get a romance going with Cassandra but worry my Inquisitor might already have botched it through two actions. I basically replied with skepticism the first time I was referred to as the "Herald" and that got her disapproval. I've modified that stance somewhat since then to where I did tell Josephine that it mattered not to me whether I really was the chosen one I would simply behave as if I was.

The second thing I did was take the Mages in and that brought about a "Cassandra slightly disapproves." I talked to her about it afterwards and it triggered a dialogue where she told me she did not "blame me" but approved of my decision because I was decisive in the action. So don't know where I really stand with her on my decision. There was no way I was going to side with the Templars after what their leader did in front of me in Val Royeaux.

Have I wrecked the chance with Cassandra?

No, u should be ok. There are plenty of chances to make up disapproval with her. Even war room missions can net u approval.

She was left handed in Dawn of the Seeker and is shown holding her sword in the left hand in most posters. I couldn't make my mind if it was just artistic license or on purpose until now...

Cass apparently had a semi decent relationship with the prior Lord Seeker according to dialogue with Solas and Cole.

Good to know, because in all honesty, the game tried to paint Lambert as an ass.

I always thought he was OK too. Hardly a villain to me. If anyone pissed me off, it's Wynne. She didn't really flinch when all that gore and death happened with the demons and tranquil. She just cared about her ultimate goal, instead of the clusterfuck it was.

Isn't Leliana right handed? (I think) The Right Hand of the Divine is left handed and the Left Hand is right handed... Varric would have a field day with those two tidbits. :D

I am curious...Has anyone RP-ed as an atheist Inquisitor or an agnostic Inquisitor who is pro mage and successfully romanced Cassandra ? If so, what sort of blood magic did you have to invoke ?  :P

I think people have. You just farm approval.

I don't know how faithfully they're "RP'ing" though. To me, it's just a gamey way to go about it. I already expressed disappointment about this earlier, so I won't continue.

Honestly i think they should have started her romance a bit earlier; either that or let me enjoy it longer, i mean honestly by the time she finally acknowledges the "courting" the game's practically over.

Also i am infuriated with Bioware for allowing glitches and bugs to interfere with the Cass romance scene.

Just like at the Warden Ritual Tower; the game scene basically locked in place, no dialogue or anything, ended up having to just basically bum rush the entire thing.

Completely ruined it.

Congrats Bioware you earned more ire with this then you did with the original ending of Mass Effect 3.

My dear, the problem is there are not many options for the straight male to begin with...

Both the options are religious. Both are Andrastians. Both are humans. Both believe in the Maker. Both believe in this Herald nonsense. Cassandra is better in a sense she has no issue with having sex.

However, it appears that you can in fact romance her if you are an agnostic or an atheist Inquisitior...

I am just wondering how...

o.o

I know right?

Cass is awesome and all, but honestly the Hetrosexual camp should have gotten more.

Bah now i'm off to write smutty romantic fanfiction about the game.

I think Cass would approve.

Not to derail but those 2 options were diverse, at least in the religious sense.

DAO: One who does not believe in Maker, the other is a die hard reborn Andrastian.

DA2: One does not give much of a shite about religion in the first place, the other believes in the Creators.

DAI: Both are Andrastians, both believe in the Maker, both are pro Chantry, both think my Inquisitor is the Herald.

So, from a philosophical perspective, yes, there are not much options in this one.

I think Brad was commenting that Cass is her own person.

She has her own set of belief, her own code.

Accept it or don't try to get into her pants.

Well, I'm with him. I just wish the game enhanced this. Instead, it can be pretty gamey.

It's the equivalent of being a "player" in real life too, I suppose. Gaming things. I hate that a good character is susceptible to it, but it's inevitable I guess.

I agree with you; i'm just pointing out that it is only natural for her to you know, come to a person that actually is of her world in so far as belief.

At least in part; For example i looked at some of the Dalish dialogue were a PC can acknowledge they believe in BOTH pantheons and she approves of that.

Because you aren't dismissing a central focus of her life, acting like she is a moron for believing in God.
