Which is why she shouldn't lead the Inquisition or be Divine, without my less than subtle, help. I was beginning to like her reform idea, but Vivienne's seems better, honestly. No one keeps the status quo.

Solas is a cool dude and ain't afraid of nothin. If you can accept that, than I'll see you on the battlefield.

I didn't say he wasn't cool. That's kind of his schtick. To be cool.

And then have you by the balls.

What is Vivinne's Policies as the Divine by the way? I know a lot on this site don't seem to like her because she pretty much laugh at the "Oppressed Mage" image in it's face but I like her.

She isn't at the point of Leliana, proclaiming her own type of faith. She believes the principles on which the Chantry was founded. Which is to say, the Chant of Light (pre-Chantry).

In a way, she's the equivalent of an early Protestant. Back to the basics approach.

Eh... main difference between Cassandra and Leliana is that one is a moderate and the other a radical. Cassandra probably wouldn't mind living in a world with free mages ect. she's just smart enough to know that that type of change can't be achieved over night. She'd be going in the same direction as Leliana, but at a significantly more gradual pace. No point in uniting half a continent only to split it apart again because of policy.

I don't know if she'd agree with that. I don't know see any indicators that she wants free mages. If so, she's more in limbo than I thought.

In any case, I have to disagree on the moderate angle anyways. I'm in the Vivienne camp. Mages should be exceptional first like her, before they are free.
(same goes for a good Warden or Hawke.. or Malcolm Hawke, etc). I forgot that line in DA2 about Malcolm, but something about "freeing the best of us".

I haven't seen Maria in a while, she must be loving the game.

Conservative standards, but the mages have more responsibilities and freedoms, which is what most of them actually wanted.

Ok. I've pretty exhausted all her dialogue, I was just curious if there was a certain part of the main story that needed to be done before accessing her quest.

Are you implying that Solas and I got along? We didn't.

I think you either need approval or to at least finish the Abyss quest line.

You're defending him and his views pretty strongly. And just called him cool. How else I am suppose to imply?

Solas is cool. It's a character in a vidja game. And my mage got along with him pretty damn well. He was all 'I respect you bro' before bouncing and doing some tricky wolf tings.

I'm defending his right to think a certain way, where as you said he was worthy of death.

You misunderstand. It's only because he has the power to take some real actions with said beliefs.

Same goes for the Qunari.

I wouldn't care if they were just fools like the Mad Hermit, spouting off their thoughts.

Solas does not have the power to unmake the Veil. He is weakened, not to mention the main source of his power to do so is no longer in his hands.

Well he did just vacuum Mythal and Urthemiel in one swoop depending on choices.

And even if he still can't do it, he's a hell of a lot closer than he was before doing so.

The point is these weren't scholarly musings on his behalf. He has power, weakened or no.

Consider my stance to basically be... a battle readiness. I'm at war (or my character is) with these kind of ideas. The minute they show themselves, I say "this or that person deserves death". I know where it leads.

And it IS a war, in my mind. Just not the traditional kind. I see no way to bridge the gap or find compromise with those ideas, so the only alternative is war and death.

but what exactly does that gain him?  The entirety of our knowledge about the Old Gods is "turned into Archdemons by blight" and "probably responsible for tricking teh magisters into attacking the Black City"

Flemeth/Mythal was powerful, but not above being slain (albeit temporarily) by an exceptionally skilled mortal

Just to add, if some of this ends up being means for bioware to eventually move towards a Synthesis like world, with magic and demons and people getting along.. then that will be the end of my war. I'll just throw in my towel and quit Dragon Age. I won't complain either. I kind of expect it. Because I'm already getting weary of their proclivity towards "universalism" as it is.

Morrigan really should drop these ideas of bringing old powers back, it just bites her in the ass.. twice. One more and three's a charm.

LOL yeah... the Warden didn't kill her. She was clearly expecting the Warden to show up and snuff her ass. So just as Morrigan and her Warden companions busted a left from Kocari street to the Imperial Highway she was doing her shapeshifting show for Hawke the slack-jawed.

She has the right idea. It's just that she's sort of like blind leading the blind.
