One thing I will say that I love about Cassandra that is also refreshing, is that she isn't a Stereotypical "Ice Queen." She's not like Morrigan or Miranda where the power of my penis melts her cold outer exterior.

That's because she's not an Ice Queen. She is all FIRE and PASSION. She's just grumpy and slow to trust on top of that.

So there I was, talking to Cass. It's the cut scene, when Quizy catches her reading the book, and mid way through who should turn up, but Dorian to embarrass her even further.
It was wonderful.

And here I feared I ruined the game for myself by watching youtube spoilers.

I'm working on a playthrough right now with that dialogue choice. Although I'm wondering if me not agreeing with seeker lambert might affect that? You had a dialogue choice to say you agree with him during the seeker quest. I did tell her to let the seekers go in the dialogue that follows, so we will see. I'll report back as soon as I'm finished.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have (some) banter!

Finally listened to this. Cassandra is like the BSN all put together in term of fan girling.

OMG!

Heh, if i dont beat you to it first :P

But really, i hope that with those choices, Cassy becomes the Inquistor's partner with full commitment, both for their relationship and to the Inquisiton.

I really hate the trend of "Oh, we love each other but we each must live a life of our own" that some games do. If anything i wish my Inquisitor not only told her that the Seekers should be gone but that the Inquisiton would also persue what little noble goals they had.

Something along the lines of:

"Cassandra, we can take the Seeker's legacy as our own, track your remaining colleagues and bring them here!"

Between the Templars, Seekers and Circles of Magi, they are becoming awfully redundant with the Inquisition around. So one less order of warriors should make things better for everyone.

Giselle makes it clear that she thinks Justinia only wanted the Inquisition to last as long as it needs to be, and to help guide Thedas back to peace. As such, dismembering the pieces that held Thedas together is not a good idea. The Seekers, the Templars, and the Circle. The Chantry, and the Inquisition that binds them all together when ever need be. This is the world Justinia wanted to see happen. I'm willing to fight for that.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone had Cassandra disband the seekers at all? And if so what does she do? I'm doing a playthrough myself trying to see if it's possible, but curious if anyone else has gotten this.

Words of a woman who is devoted to a lost cause! To me the Inquisition is a force that should supercede all those failing institutions, they have proved that they are incompetent and corrupt. They would bicker among themselves even in the face of annihilation.

Maybe one day the people of Thedas will be smart enough to put diferences aside, on that day i will say that the Inquisition's work will have ended.

But until then, i am willing to step the boot down to force such change and the less rivaling institutions that oppose such future, the better.

People shouldnt need lies or fear to do whats right. That is what my Inquisitor stands for. :)

Odd. You sound a lot like the people you claim to be above. Weird. I'll tell you the only difference between the way you sound and them is that you have the power of a god. That's it. Nothing I see makes that stance any better than theirs.

That depends. Have you made her disgusted at least six times? It's a requirement for this romance.

Cassandra has a strange way of starting relationships with people.

Diference is, dividing power in a world such as Thedas only does invite ruin.

The inquisition proves that Mages & Templars can work together, they prove they can outplay Orlesian's finest at their Grand Game and end such triviality, they made a Qunari alliance work!

The thing is, they arent tied to the old thinking of the Templars, Mages or the Chantry, i say its the Inquisition's job to unite as much people as it can, because when it eventually falls in a (hopefully distant future) due to becoming obsolete or corrupt, the people of Thedas will have so much more in common with each other that i hope Mage hate or racism will be a thing of the past.

You say the chantry binds all of them together, i say the Inquisition should be the one doing that, on its own ideals.

But your right to a extent, to me they are all institutions of Order, i just find all other to have misguided concepts to acomplish such "Order".

the Inquisition actually doesn't prove anyone can work together. It proved that when everyone is going to die, they'll work with a being they think their god sent. It's by no means normal in the slightest. The Inquisition by it's very nature can't be permanent.

I'm actually kind of surprised there wasn't a story behind her scars. Or, at least one of them. Doesn't she mention fighting a dragon with her brother? That would have made for one hell of a conversation.

And that, my friend, is where our roleplay differs :P

I say take that this oportunity and change it into a normality, people might have united under pressure of circunstance, but that doesnt mean the Inquisition cant captalize on that for its own goals.

Also, went rather offtopic here, i apologize.

Maybe not permanent, but I can see the Inquisition being a major figure in the world for years, if not decades after. Given how intimately tied the Inquisition is to several factions (the Orlesian empire and the Chantry by the end of the game, especially if Celene stays in power and hardened Leliana is made Divine), it's all but certain that the Inquisition will have SOME pull in future events for a period of time.

I'm expecting any further story content to actually detail the downfall of the Inquisition.

They made their fortunes, fought heretics and gained political influence above their station.

Now it is time for the dream to die, to be labelled as heretical, to be hunted across a continent and to ultimately...be destroyed.

The Inquisition might remain an international organization like the Grey Wardens, but expecting them to start taking over Circles, the Order, etc... is just a stretch too far

Yep, the Inquisitor has a pretty long reach if the right decisions are made. He can get both Orlesian & Ferelden minor nobility on his side too.

The inquisition can also even threaten Tevinter with a combined Qun/Souththerners invasion (Remember that Tevinter backs off if you support their splinter group.

There is also alliance with the Grey Wardens, (Usefull for gaining trust), i like to think of the Inquisition as the Wardens of "non Blight" time.

How different is it if you don't have Dorian by that point?

Hey when do you get Cassandra's personal quest?

2_BR4ZIL_2: You can ally with a group from Tevinter? Or you man the Venatori?

Well, the Templars are pretty much dead if you side with the Mages, they were discredited and shamed across Thedas, what little remains of their soldiers went to the Inquisition or are probably disbanded, exception aside, of course.

With Leliana is Power, the Circles cease to exist, so there is no more of that.

The only thing would be to take down the Chantry, but i guess that is too far :P

Well, that probably wont work unless your setup your game to be like that.

I mean, after the endgame the Inquisition probably has enough power to take on everyone but Orlay & the Qun (Tevinter, i am not sure).

But it would be interesting if we see them fall from grace a couple game entries in the future.

Maybe do something like "200 years after" or something like that and we see our Inquisition becoming a Opressive International Organization.  :)
