Maybe not permanent, but I can see the Inquisition being a major figure in the world for years, if not decades after. Given how intimately tied the Inquisition is to several factions (the Orlesian empire and the Chantry by the end of the game, especially if Celene stays in power and hardened Leliana is made Divine), it's all but certain that the Inquisition will have SOME pull in future events for a period of time.

I do not mind this. I want the Inquisition to bind itself to the Divine and be a place where all three other groups come together. So far, given the epilogues, this is what happens.

Well, the Templars are pretty much dead if you side with the Mages, they were discredited and shamed across Thedas, what little remains of their soldiers went to the Inquisition or are probably disbanded, exception aside, of course.

With Leliana is Power, the Circles cease to exist, so there is no more of that.

The only thing would be to take down the Chantry, but i guess that is too far :P

Well, that probably wont work unless your setup your game to be like that.

I mean, after the endgame the Inquisition probably has enough power to take on everyone but Orlay & the Qun (Tevinter, i am not sure).

But it would be interesting if we see them fall from grace a couple game entries in the future.

Maybe do something like "200 years after" or something like that and we see our Inquisition becoming a Opressive International Organization.  :)

The new Divine rebuilds all Orders and factions. None of that really matters, honestly.

It's just that is the natural step.

It happened to the real templar order.

If you support Cassandra and be really in favour of that idea... yes

But as i said, that didint happened in my game.

Besides, who says even Cassandra can re-establish the old factions? I surely bet Vivienne cant.

Ha! It would be one of those case of "Die a Hero or live long enough to see yourself turn into a villain" scenarios.

Would be fun if we saw how twisted everything we fought for would turn with the next Inquisitors down the line.

Nope. Literally all Divines rebuild all factions in some capacity.

Not saying they arent, but with Leliana's Chantry makes some pretty big concessions over what they previously did have.

Also, we all know why that happens, because otherwise the next DA game/expansion woulnt have the fan favorites or would require too much work to actually make a big decision like that reflect into a future game installment.

And besides, we only know from the epilogue, we dont really know how those actions are really turning out to be. I personally find Leliana's Chantry to be one that will survive over time but in a much minor role, not the overlord that it used to be (like what happened to the Catholic Church in real life).

Its also not big suprise that i find Vivienne's Chantry to be a Chantry on life support, it will probably last some more time but to me it will ultimately fail due to its contradictions (A conservative mage in power?).

And thats the beaty of the game, you can have your story and i have mine.

Until the next game/dlc/expansion contradicts our story, its all fair game!

The circle and templars are about the most concrete institutions in Thedas.

The circle and templars are about the most concrete institutions in Thedas.

Only in name, because we have seen how vastly diferent they can be from place to place.

Again, like with the Chantry, i find it very "thin" the control it exerts over Thedas, it feels to me like a control that only exists because people know no other alternative.

But seriously now, i have offtopic long enough, this will be my final post, have a good night guys!

Well, before the mage/templar war, we know that the Chantry effectively ruled the templars by controlling the lyrium trade. I mean, the Chantry is already the figure that watches over the templars, but they according to Alistair in DAO, it seemed like they had almost total control over the Order.

But then by that same token, if they control the lyrium trade, they would also effectively control the Circles in the same regions.

The Inquisition might remain an international organization like the Grey Wardens, but expecting them to start taking over Circles, the Order, etc... is just a stretch too far

There is a discussion early in the game with Giselle that foreshadow the Inquisition being temporary.

Seriously look at history.

Things like this?

They exist for a reason.

Then they die for a reason.

Still not gonna romance her though?

Also, speaking of that scene, where does it take place? The inquisitor mentions going to some glade nearby, but from I recall there seems to be only snow, ice and mountains surrounding Skyhold.

I though you said you'd go for Josie instead back in the group.

So I guess I'll second this and say that Cassandra is my favorite Dragon Age character to date.

Its not the first time I evaded a bug everyone else seems to get.

Is there by any chance a second romance scene? Like how Iron Bull has?

Or was this the only one?

Are you talking about the "lets spend time together scene"?

Which companions mention the romance with Cassandra? I know that when you talk to Sera and ask her what she thinks of the people you have, she'll say something along the lines of "Not the same things you think. Thought your way right up into that one", in regards to Cassandra. Likewise, Vivienne says "I've noticed how much you've been doting on her" and mentions that Cassandra and the Inquisitor could make a charming couple, if Cassandra learned to lighten up.
