I had originally intended to go for Josephine in the first playthrough, but the VA interview and streams made me reconsider. Now having finished playthrough, it's clear as day I made the right call.

Cassandra is a really fantastic character :D

I honestly was hoping for more from the romance, i mean it was short, buggy and can end on a pretty bitter note.

That said Lady Seeker is by far my favorite character in the game after my first playthrough.

I didn't find it short at all. The sex scene isn't the end of the romance, it's the beginning. There's plenty of romance dialogue in skyhold, and a lot of the main story areas. As for bugs, I'm fortunate that I never experienced any of those. But seeing videos of them, they look rather annoying. The "bitter" end is also dependent on whether she becomes divine, which is 100% avoidable.

Just listened to all the Cassandra/Iron Bull banter. Really wish I'd heard it in game.

the sex scene was the last part of the romance in my playthrough  after that I don't remember any other scene in the romance story.

anyway is kinda sad that when the game end, she say "Hello, Inquisitor" and... thats it, no dialogue option or any scene.

I mean if you consider the point you start banging her the start of the romance, then yeah sure it's short. If you consider all of the story development with Cassandra the start of the romance, then not really.

I consider the point where she acknowledged the flirting to be the start.

Sure there is...lead up to that point but it never really got acknowledged until then.

It's the same for all romances though, it's actually one of the things DA 2 got right, there was build up across the acts.

I did.  While she may not agree, she'll point out that she respects your decision and respects you for making it.

You have a different definition of romance than I.

They'll still love each other, but they cant live together anymore.

She doesnt dump the inquisitor like Alistair does.

I would just say it's the minute you pick a "heart" option. Technically speaking, at least.

It's the persistence on the player's part that makes it a nice romance arc. Although I wish it revolved around more than just persistence (but I won't get into it here. I already complained enough last time I was here).

Cassandra was busy thinking about her missing family (aka the Seekers). That's why she doesn't comment on to the flirting before that quest is concluded.

Speaking of Cassandra, I brought Vivienne to the Royal Ball expecting her to complains about the outfit. Lo and behold, Cassandra is the one complaining about it, saying that a formal armor would have been better and there are ladies at the ball that keep on repeating "What is Lady Pentaghast wearing?". Not what I expected  (well I expected Cassandra to miss her armor, heheheh).

Cassandra left my PC to become the new Divine - not sure what I was expecting considering I recommended her because she believed it to be her duty etc, etc.

Should've seen it coming - yet another case of Gaider leaving me with tears :crying:.

There are many ways for Cass to be dutiful (and happy at the same time). Like millions of people in the world. And the Chantry won't fall apart without her as Divine. If that's what the Chantry comes down to --- one person --- then it deserves to fall. What kind of religion crumbles because of one person?

I find it all more of an annoying choice. Rather than a tough choice.

Every damn time.

What's even worse is the World State that is my main one, Leliana is with my Warden. So if I want my Inquisitor to stay with Cass, I'll have to make Leliana the new Divine, and I can't even begin to imagine what would happen with her and the Warden. Gaider if you're reading, make it so Leliana resigns as Divine to stay with the Warden and have Giselle take her place.

I'm just heading further down the self-destructive path. These little decisions in previous games that can have major consequences in the current game will be the end of me!

Does it not give anyone comfort knowing that she atleast still loves the inquisitor, even if she becomes divine?

I mean, I was upset about it first as well, but it really just depends on how you look at it.

The sex scene is the beginning of the romance. There is SO much more throughout the game after that.

Yes, I allied with the mages and was able to fully romance her. You may need to kill some of her targets to recover a bit of approval though, but it's doable.

Well, roll another playthrough, romance her and ensure she doesn't become the divine this time. Happy ending. ;)

I think it probably threw people off guard. It happens right at the end of the game, so some people might not have expected it. The good news is that its only one of 3 endings to the romance. The other two have the inquisitor and Cass staying together. So it's just a matter of doing it "right" next time.

You could keep Leliana and Cass off of the sunburst throne, and place Vivienne there. There's a win win scenario.

That is true, I just wonder what kind of Divine Vivenne will be.

I feel bad for the future Main Characters in future games. They'll have to contend with any consequences of my decisions that I make in this game and try and fix them.

That's practically the summary of my main world state when it comes to each Character - Here's a bunch of problems, add your own, fix them, or make them worse, the choice is yours!
