The bard is probably too afraid of Cassandra to make a song about her. Can you blame the bard? lol
Also, does anyone know where Cass' accent is from?

I think if my Inquisitor put in enough effort, he could save her from Cassandra's wrath while she signs a song about her.
Or maybe my Inquisitor should just sing the song for her! He handled poetry quite well. Sadly I can't help out with the accent question I'm afraid. But I'm curious to her accent origin as well.
And good morning to the thread and most of you in it. Time to get my Warrior familiar with Haven and start wooing Cass. Then I need to move over to actually start my Mage's journey in Hinterlands...

I think I read back in DA2 days that the actress sort of made up the accent on her own.

That I'd be pretty content with believing. Still coming to terms with Freddie voicing Iron Bull. These people and their gifts from the Makers. I hope Bioware keeps this band of talent together for as long as they can!

No songs for cassandra, they already embarrassed her enough with our inquisitor and his sappy poetry

The Hero of Orlais probably already has a song...and she threatened the bard to hang her by the ramparts if she tried to sing it.

Just based on what I can tell, it sounds like a hybrid Italian-German. My German (from Bavaria) teacher in school pronounces vowels like Cassandra does, and the admittedly few Italian people I've heard speak stress syllables like she does. Given, I don't know very many Italian people with actual accents where I'm from.
Like when she says "chantry". She says it with a long "A" sound and always stresses the second syllable. Ch-AHN-tree.

It does almost sound like a mix of that, if anything.
I wish I could find the interview with Miranda Raison though. I could've sworn it exists... but maybe I'm making it all up. I'm always positive she said she intended it to be an accent that wasn't easy to place. But things like above could have been her influences, who knows.

Was it just me but did Cassandra sound almost wistful back in Haven when she was discussing what ifs?
Where her life could have taken her; that conversation was pretty interesting, she later declared she had no regrets the way she lived her life, but i wonder if she would have chosen it again had she the choice.

Old video. Came with my Dawn of the Seeker CD. Doesn't Cas look cute ? That mage on the video is Raellian, her first love. He died at the conclave with Justinia

Hopefully not. Looks like Seeker armor magically became Templar armor anyway.

Anyone find schematics for Cass' stock sword and shield yet?

It's stated in an odd way then. When you ask her how she met Josephine, she just says they partied together. And if you ask her what kind of partying she likes, she says it isn't a party unless your small clothes on hanging on the Chanter's board.
Reference to the Leliana's Song DLC from DAO.
No Josephine isn't in it ![]()

Sadly no.
You'd think they would be available from the start.

So, I've heard that the Cassandra romance has a lot of moments in the main story. What must I do to ensure they're unlocked because I restarted my game a little while ago when I couldn't get Cass to dance with me at the Ball. Josephine comes to talk to me at the end instead.

I would. Who the hell actually wants to be in wars, fighting monsters, losing people, and being a "hero"?
These aren't fantasies. They are nightmares.
The best fantasy one could aspire to is sitting on porch, sipping a beer, and no one screwing with you or your loved ones.

She should have broken it out for the Inquizzy.
It would have led to drooling, intense cuddling and more.

As someone who spent a decent portion of their life as a soldier i will only say this.
You react to killing in my experience to three different ways.
All of them shape what sort of person you will be once the "war" is over.
The most common is guilt and self loathing; lamenting the ability to take life so easily, cursing whatever choices led you to that point, and burying it along with whatever associated guilt and pain beneath a shield of some sort, chemical dependency, faith, whatever.
The second type and this is the rarest in my experience is the inverse; the self congratulation of that very ability.
Taking life becomes a success, winning, you survive, the enemy dies, its the rarest because i honestly think, even with training many people aren't geared toward the mentality of taking life.
Third is trying to leave that life in the past, doing something new, become a new person, bury the unpleasantness and trying to move on.
Its never that easy in my experience but i have seen many try.
Anyway.
I found Cass...scars and all; someone i could understand very well.
