Ultimately in my opinion, Cassandra is too great a character to lose to the chantry and I feel making her Devine is like killing her potential in the DA universe and specifically in DAI prematurely. It feels as if; with these characters set to potentially take on a role like that they're poised to not show up in any significant capacity soon. My Lavellan romanced her, respected her views on the chantry and on the maker, but just doesn't want her to be Devine of the chantry. Unhardened Leliana as Devine just feels like icing on that cake.

I really hope that in a later game, you can elevate Cassandra to Queen of Nevarra, like you can with Alistair.

She's like a hundredth-something in line. No chance to be anything like Alistair.

I think if you want the noble who embraces their nobility, it's Josephine.

It's a long shot but I hope we get to witness a Team Inquisition/Team Hawke meetup. Mostly because having Cassandra and Aveline meet would be pretty great.

That awkward moment when you think Cassandra is going to go all bad ass on a dragon, but we died instead….

@Merela

So it is a bow and not simply an arrow? He could bassically say, "In case you're wondering that's not my bow, it's my oddly shaped dick..." XD lol

So what step of Insanity am I at if I start dreaming about the companions?

Last thing I remembered before waking up was Cassandra claiming I was flirting with the Spymaster. The look on her face was how I felt at the end of my first playthrough, it woke me up.

But anyway, a new desktop background pic!

Spoiler

Her eyes *_* Wish I had a second monitor set up so that I can have all my Inquisition pictures on rotation on one screen while gaming on the other, but maybe after Christmas.

I'm waiting for a Unity homage bug where the npcs appear in a cutscene like this. Inq and Cass spend some alone time, and out of nowhere one of the Blacksmith appears, hammering a sword while this happens lol

I actually had a bug like that happen during a scene between Cass and Bull.

Cass was beating Bull with a stick, yet in the background there was another Cass hitting dummies

Now I can send the clone to be the Divine, while the original stays with me :D!

Yeah Vivienne is the one who wants to keep the current social order, Cassandra wants reform but unlike Leliana knows that things take time, and that you can't throw the baby out with the bathwater.

The epilogue slices all have their own understated warnings of bad to come in the near future. Also, the slide are incomplete, they don't give the full picture of what happens. There is enough vagueness to have a certain statu-quo:

I was thinking about it... From a lore perspective Cassandra is probably the most accomplished/skilled warrior we've had as a companion. Just a cut above Sten and Loghain. No, mages, golems, ect., don't count.

Aside from the 'mundane version' of our protagonists she's the best warrior in Thedas we've encountered so far. That's pretty badass.

She began her Seeker training when she was six, so she's been in the business for more than 2 decades. Being trained by a master swordsman helped too.

Lore wise though, Ser Michel and Lambert (in Asunder) would likely be a match for her. Hard to tell with Loghain, as we're not sure how much fighting he did after the rebellion several decades ago. And Sten lost to Alistair in the comics, so there's that.

Sten lost to plot induced stupidity. Or maybe he held back because it was Alistair. But Sten beats Alistair 7/3 in an honest fight. I know he's Gaider's golden boy, but that doesn't make him the Maker on earth.

I aways figured it was Aveline? Inquisition even has an ocasional joke of Varric telling an companion that Aveline is easily stronger then them.

Nah. In gameplay maybe. But we're talking lore. Aveline is Guard-Captain in Thedas' version of Gotham City, but beyond that she isn't really special. Sten was bred and trained from birth to become the best warrior possible. Loghain probably has the most keen tactical mind in that universe. Cassandra was trained since the age of six and has the fervor of a Spirit of Faith. Even Alistair has some long lost lineage of ancient dragon blood coursing through him. All these people except maybe Alistair would obliterate Aveline in a 1-on-1.
