Let's consider a few things:

Spoiler

Plenty of reasons why she wouldn't flip a table.

Why are we talking in spoiler tags again?

And knowing Hawke even in the Fade I'd bet he'll figure a way to blow up the Black City or something.

Which he learned from Anders.

See, not all of Hawke's choices are bad :P

Yeah Hawke may be a total moron, who destroys everything (s)he touches but at least (s)he's involved in the situation. The Warden has absolutely no ties to the Mage-Templar war besides the fact that they MAY be a former Circle Mage, Hawke was involved in kicking off the war itself.

That and Varric was activley hiding Hawke from Cassandra, Leliana had no idea where the Warden was and in playthroughs where she had a close relationship with them she's actually worried sick, and would like nothing more to know where they are.

Speaking of "dueling" (sorta), in Haven when you stumble on the Josie/DeDurillion (sp) argument early on, if you pick the second option it ends with Josie telling the noble that he will have to duel Cassandra because he is doubting her words. The guy gets scared over the proposition and leave...

To be fair, the prospect of facing an angry Cassandra is pretty terrifying. My Magequisitor still has "can set the lyrium in your veins aflame" in the back of his mind, and he's romancing Cass.

Isn't that a nice feature to keep you warm in the cold winter nights?

I thought it was said Seekers do not take lyrium?

After watching the romance on youtube i'd say Cassandra is my new favorite companion, or at least tied with Solas and Iron Bull.

I got Cassandra's Romance scene...well, at least the first part. the Second part is heavily bugged (I had to reload because Until I skip quickly in a certain part I couldn't move one), but i saw on YouTube what I missed. I liked it :).

This happened to me too. Cassandra is my favorite character and I really enjoyed her romance story arc. There was some great scenes with her throughout the game.

Cassandra will be the romance for most if not all of my Inquisitors but I'm not sure I want to pursue it again until Bioware fixes this bug.

So I'm still playing this, and I'm trying to avoid spoilers, but I was warned that Cassandra can wind up the divine at the end.  This is pretty much the only outcome I'm trying to avoid (otherwise I let my first playthrough ending be organic).  So how do I avoid this?

So far I told her to reform the seekers and I did the Templars mission (and allied with them after).  I also kept the wardens.

So does anyone have suggestions for how to keep Cass out of the divine?  My girlfriend (also a huge Cass fan) says if I just don't encourage her, I'll be fine, but I'd rather not take chances.

EDIT: Sorry if this is spoilers, I have no idea how to spoiler tag stuff yet :(

During the Civil War either keep Celene in power and don't remove lose ends, or remover her from power and support Vivienne.

Curling up with your sweetheart is definitely better than having your blood lit ablaze. Whether Cass likes to be cuddly or not is up for interpretation.

The first page in my signature has extensive information on how to romance Cass and prevent her from being made divine/reforming seekers. Here is the template though, I highlighted the things you need to do in red. Unfortunately it isn't as easy as discouraging her, its mostly dependent on your chantry stance which must differ from hers. You have to be 100% anti chantry/mage freedom which will get you a bit of disapproval. You can regain it though by doing around  3/5 of her targets from Unfinished Business. I did 4/5 to be safe.

You don't need to free the mages or side with Celene. Considering the user in question already said they sided with the Templars, that doesn't help anyway. The real problem stems for the the things making Cassandra Divine and the things making Vivienne Divine are almost one and the same. Ask to restore the old order, support Vivienne, and you can still side with the Templars as allies, reform the Seekers, keep the Wardens, side with a lone Gaspard, and still end up with a Vivienne Divine.

I was merely posting a template. As of now it is unclear whether freeing/conscripting the mages actually locks it out, but it certainly favors a certain divine candidate so to play it safe you will want to choose wisely. Ultimately the most important factor is your chantry views, as well as how you respond to Cassandra's ideals for the future. Vivienne and Cass are very similar, but two distinct dialogue options that lean towards Viv are "Mages should be in the chantry" early on in the game and "You would be a better divine" when discussing Cass as a possible choice with Viv. At that point you can choose to do the war table operation.

I got an ending where she's both committed to rebuilding the Seekers from scratch as well as staying together with the Inquisitor. This pleases me.

It clearly doesn't. Nothing "locks" anything into anything.

Just disliking the Chantry is neutral (depending on the context). Sentiments that suggest the Chantry needs to reform, or that it isn't doing its job, will push Leliana a bit closer towards being Divine. For her, however, the biggest influences by far are allying with the mages at the end of the Redcliffe plot and handing power to Briala at the end of the Wicked Eyes & Wicked Hearts plot.

I assume everything works the same way with everyone. Agree with them, and they'll be pushed for Divine

I never said it did, please reread my post. This is an interesting quote from Gaider. It at least shows that those are somewhat significant factors in the overall scheme of things. Simple agreement isn't enough. When I got Vivienne, I agreed with her and Leliana's views in dialogue. Voiced support for both of them, though I didn't absorb the Templars and I only had the opportunity to do Viv's operation.

You agreeing with both just pushes it back and forth, so it does nothing, or more likely, supports Cassandra. As for the lock, you said it's unclear. But it is. It's basically just a massive push, was my point. You can still have Vivienne for Divine if you free the mages, it's just a lot, lot, harder.

I wonder if this was the reason I was given a war table operation. Because Cass/Viv are so similar, in my dialogue with Cass I was basically disagreeing with her on the chantry aka mage freedom, don't want the same chantry as you, etc. I agreed with Leliana as sort of a safeguard. I was attempting to get Viv but felt as if it could go either to her or Cass. It wasn't until the "I think you would be a better Divine" dialogue came up with Viv and the subsequent operation that I felt I had it tucked away. Didn't mean to stray too far off topic though, but it is interesting as it changes some of what we thought we knew in the Divine thread.

Could you provide me the link to that Gaider quote?
