This will never stop making me laugh. I don't think I've ever missed a game where you can pick a characters name without having a "bob". Bob the warden, bob Hawke, Bob the argonian, Bob from every fable game...so much bob

I like that idea, but Bioware will most likely continue with the tradition of all human women sharing the same body model.
Well, that's not entirely true. Aveline's model was modified to give her more muscular arms(they took the arms off the male model and put them on her), and Isabela's model was unique, making her bustier.
It would be particularly disappointing if they went that route in DAI, though, especially given that the males seem to have unique models crafted for them(Beard Warden looks significantly bulkier and taller than DHMG, even accounting for BW standing closer to the camera).

True, but keep in mind that we couldn't change armor on our companions in DA2. This means you didn't have to worry about how all the different armor sets would fit onto Isabela or Aveiine due their unique models.
In DA:I Cass will have to wear the same armor as the female Inquisitor, so their body models need to match. That ether means giving them the default female body or giving them both a more athletic/muscular body models. The later would work great for a female Inquisitor who is a warrior, but probably not so much for one that's a rogue or a mage.
I do hope Bioware at last tries to give Cass a unique model, since I'm not a fan of my female warriors being built like ladies of the court, rather then professional soldiers

The companions keep their unique appearance with the armour only altering it though, so when you put a piece of metal breastplate on Cassandra it will look different than if you put it on the female Inquisitor or Vivienne.

Well, i'd be fine with that as long as it fits. For example they should stay far, far away from bodies like female Shepard's (i also find macho muscley men ridiculous as hell)
If Inquisitor had ladyHawke's body or Aveline i'd be totally fine as long as she isn't bony with huge breasts and big butts.

yeah, all the female shepards looked really strange... i could never get them to look as good as some of the other characters in the game... I wouldnt mind them using female hawke as a model, and aveline ok, but dont reuse aveline's head, omg i did not like the way she looked

her face looked really strange to me... her character was good, but her face seemed really messed up to me.... Merrill's did too, but i wrote that off as an elf thing cause they were all kind of designed that way... aveline's face was just strange compared to the rest of the human models in da2

A degree of muscle tone on Cassandra would make sense, but thinking about it, her having the chiseled physique of an MMA fighter might be a bit much. MMA fighters and athletes in general these days have access to advanced exercise and weight lifting gear and tend to be on very specific diets. Now i'm not a dietitian or personal trainer but i'm not sure the lifestyle of even a warrior in a medevil-esk setting would give one the same kind of build. Of course if Spartacus and Vikings are anything to go by then i'm completely wrong on that.

I don't think historical movies are that accurate, or games for that matter.
I don't think Cassandra is going to have a different body going by how they gave her a more girly walking animation now going by the Discover DA video (she wasn't that girly in the fall PAX demo, Vivienne had the girly walk).

The girly walk we discovered is nor nearly as much as you think. Her shield swaying is what makes it so pronounced.

Inquisitor: I could watch that shield sway all day long
Varric: I know what you mean
Cassandra: What's wrong with my shield?
Varric: Oh nothing's wrong
Inquisitor: Yeah, nothings wrong if anything its just rig.. *cassandra shield bashes inquisitor mid sentence*

It's not about how girly it is, it is that they changed it to what appear to be the female animations which are meant to fit the female body-type.
Body model (well skeleton) and animations usually go together, otherwise you get lots of clipping (and mishandling of weapons and other things).

all im want is for the Tough Chick to Have Thigh's Like Steel, and be a Minx in the sack, and my Inquisitor will happily kill every Malificar and Heretic she points out as long as their not companions.

Since most screenshots show Cassandra with a sword and shield, does that mean she is going to be a tanking warrior just like Aveline? That makes sense, since it seems Iron Bull and probably the Grey Warden commander are going to be warriors specializing in damage instead.

You're going to be able to switch your companion's weapon load outs. You can arm Cassandra with a sword and shield or a two hander, whichever you prefer.
That being said, I suspect she'll come with a few preset sword & board talents, while, say, Iron Bull will come preset with two hander talents.

She was using a two-handed weapon in the GI screenshots last summer. She probably comes with a sword&shield because she is the first warrior companion we get and if the player isn't the tank someone as to be (sort of like Alistair and Aveline, although DAI is more flexible than DA2 when it comes to character roles).

That picture seems to imply that there will be an option between playing a lawful or a chaotic Inquisitor.
I wonder if it is coincidence that Cassandra said in the trailer "We will restore order!" and that option B uses the words "Tradition, Order, Power." or if she'll number amongs the Companions who will support a lawful Inquisitor while Solas, who is both an elf and a mage, might support a violent revolution.

I don't think the companions will get a clear cut between the two options or even the Inquisitor for that matter. The trailer "restore order" is a goal. The rebirth of option A can bring order.
Also, I haven't seen anything that could label Cassandra as a traditionalist (like Vivienne who want her old life back). In fact, Cassandra came off as a a bit rebellious in Dawn of the Seeker. Her pragmatism make her do things she believes are rights in the current context, not necessarily what her boss(es) or tradition requires.
edit: and yes she is gorgeous.
