You clearly didn't play the same Mass Effect 3 as the rest of us.

What is BSN if not a place to tell other people that only your decisions were the right ones?

I go with Leliana as Divine, because while Cassandra has admirable goals, she hardly seems the person to enact them. If you bring her to Halamshiral, you'll notice how much she detests being in a place full of stuffy ruffled-collar types. The Divine is also a political figurehead and the public face of the Chantry on top of being a religious leader, so she's going to have to deal with dignitaries, diplomats, delegates, and other pompous ass-hats going to her for help. She'd go mad within a week and accidentally kill one of her clerics.

In the sense that blue and green are different than red, yes.

Am I the only one who's divine choice really just comes down to "not cassandra"?

I just support whoever is more likely given what missions I felt like playing.

Ah yes I know. But the red M&M doesn't taste any different from the yellow one if you're catchin' my drift.

... No? I try to go for Leliana specifically because Cassandra (for the reasons stated above) wouldn't be a good choice IMO, and I deplore Vivienne (and from what I've read, she doesn't actually change much, instead keeping the status quo but with some slight changes to how the Circles work). I don't even remember what Leliana does with the mages, other than something about them opening a school.

Personally, the "So be it, the cycle will continue!" ending is my head canon. It seemed to fit.

This made me laugh so hard my stomach hurt.

"You do know why they play our games?" Oh, Cass. She's adorable.

Leliana completely abolishes the Circles, and lets the mages go free independently. And Vivienne completely gives mages more responsibilities and more freedoms than they've ever had. The only difference is that they have to stay in the Circle. Sounds a lot like mage-bias to me.

I'm not sure why anyone would want a person who allows herself to be changed psychologically by two people she hardly even knows as the leader of the largest and most powerful organization in Thedas.

Damn so am I the only one that likes Cassandra for Divine? I would support Leliana if she didn't abolish the Circles. I support Cassandra the most because she restructures the Chantry which IMO is severely needed.

Since we're using Mass Effect as an analogue my views on Leliana as Divine and it's possible results remind me of the Salarians prematurely uplifting the Krogan.

Not likely, plenty of people prefer Cass as divine. Leliana restructures the chantry as well, she just goes further than Cassanda. Leliana abolished the circles to remove mages from the governance of the chantry. They have their own college now, where they govern themselves. It's almost the same thing insofar as there is still accountability.

Cassandra is my Divine of choice as well. Was pleased that she got the spot in my first run, plan to keep it that way on my other ones too.

There would be no different result, since this is what she wanted. I don't just hate things that involve Fiona. I hate the things Fiona involves herself in.

No, I support Cassandra as Divine as well. Granted, I'd rather just have it go to Giselle by default, but of the 3 candidates, I think Cass is the best.
