It's about time you showed up here. I have a question: How does one remain a virgin if they have sex with someone? Does virginness return after a certain amount of time, or nah?

Isn't Inquisitor her first amorous companion?

No, which she directly says.Isn't Inquisitor her first amorous companion?
ETA: though the fact the inquisitor is only #2 and Cass is in her late 30s does say something. What it says can be up to you, though!

Cassandra is a shy zealot-virgin, unspoiled by earthly passions, sweet like a blazing sun and equally blinding. If not for her short hair mixed with rather not-exactly feminine facial features then she would be an apex alpha wife material for my Inquisitor.

You-mean-but-ow-my. But, by amorous I mean physicality. Did she have amorous companion in bodily sense?

Unless you wanna interpret her lines otherwise. I'm on my phone, but she says something like, "you're only the second man I've been with." I have no idea how else you can read that besides you're number two, but ymmv.

Thank you for this illuminating information. I recant my statement about her. I leave this thread immensely disappointed.

Yes. She's slept with someone else before.
As to what that means, it means she's not a virgin. I'm not sure why that matters anyway.

Yeah, you're the second man after Regalyan.
Was anyone else a little put out that he ended up getting killed at the Conclave just to clear up that romantic loose thread? Seems like a bit of a waste of his character, even if it made total sense for him to be there as a Chantry Loyalist.

He didn't die because he slept with Cassandra. He died because he was loyal to the Chantry and was at the Conclave. Plenty of higher up mages did. The only people of note who didn't are Fiona and Lucius. +Rhys and Evangeline.

No, he did die because he slept with Cassandra. She's like walking bad luck. I fully expect my inquisitor to die horribly in the next game.

I'm not saying she's got the same curse as Carter from Stargate when it comes to her love interests dying like flies, just that it seemed a little lame that he was axed offscreen and it's not mentioned until quite a ways into the game.
Of course, the Inquisitor also barely mentions (if at all) anyone they knew who died there either, so it's not really surprising that both Cass and the Inq might not want to think or talk about the people that were killed there to anyone else.

She tells you he died at the Conclave in the first conversation you have with her in Haven. Anyway, he wasn't axed off screen. He was random walking mage number 225. I could tell.

At least her alternative still takes the archdemon soul into account. No one else has a worthy alternative unfortunately. They're screwed without the Wardens.
Personally, I think the best solution is simply stop making it so secret. Or just have other organizations learn how to do the Joining. The world may need the ritual, but they don't necessarily need the Warden mentality.
Perhaps the Wardens in Orlais decide that's the best course of action - to let the world know why the Wardens are important, rather than leaving it veiled in secrecy; when given a second chance by the Inquisitor, their ending mentions how the Orlesian Wardens "emerge from the shadows" and join the rest of humanity in fighting their ancient foes, which causes a schism with their counterparts at Weisshaupt.

So, I'll be getting Inquisition next week (hopefully), and since Josephine romance is not what I'm looking for, I decided to give Cass an shot. How is her romance if you play as an agnostic/atheist? She doesn't pull an Sera on you, does she?

She doesn't care if you're atheist or agnostic, so long as you don't actively antagonize her about the Chantry and sh*t all over it.

Out of curiosity, just in case I'm missing something on my playthrough, does Cass ever explicitly state why she doesn't think the relationship could work if she becomes divine?
I find it rather annoying that apparently Leliana continues a relationship with a romanced warden (according to what I've read) but Cass is just kinda vague about why she doesn't see it working.
Not a solid reason, especially considering the last Divine had a casual relationship going on that the chantry knew about and only disapproved of. In fact if they are open with there relationship they should have popular support among most of Thedas.

Really? I only had remember Galyan being mentioned in the conversation during the romance scene, as well as the dialogue between Varric and Cass about him after Bianca showed up?
Although to be fair, during the first conversation with her at Haven it was hard for me to follow what Cassandra was saying as a bug meant that two guys behind her were fighting without heads and it proved far too much of a hilarious distraction for me to ignore... ![]()

Yeah, I do think that was a weird thing that I just didn't understand. The next question any dude would ask is "Uh, why?" Not just be like oh, sure, whatever.

It breaks me to say that I don't believe in the Maker to her. I wish there was a "Not anymore" option when she asks if you believe in the Maker.
My Canon Warrior - Believes in the Maker
My "full Paragon" Mage - Felt the Maker abandoned him by giving him his abilities as a Mage. See's it as a curse.
It would of been nice to have that response option, but I guess the "I don't know" option feels that void.

In that case, seeing as I'm the Herald of Andraste, they shouldn't have a problem!
They do owe me for saving all their hides.

Hold on, the Maker abandoned you by giving you magic, even though you're still rich, can leave the Circle, and wouldn't inherit anything anyway? The Maker cursed you by making you be born last, maybe.

Yeah, I'm just kind of disappointed with the (lack of) explanation from Cassandra about why the relationship had to be over if she was divine. I thought maybe I missed something, but apparently not. If the Divines have had lovers in the past, and people have been ok with it, I think some explanation is called for. Otherwise it just seems a cheap attempt at angst/drama.
