Choosing Cullen for the very first quest in Haven (when they ask about Lavellan) will get the clan killed. Cullen is essential in defending the clan from the attackers, however.

lol I can only imagine the reaction back in Skyhold:

Inquisitor: So did you tell my clan I'm safe

Cullen: Sorry but I killed them

Inqusitior: >:o

This Cassandra-Divine business is still making me feel very, very conflicted. I got Vivi as Divine in my Knight Enchanter playthrough, and while Cassandra decides to reform the Seekers, my Trevelyan and her are still a couple. However, I can't help but feel that there is some seriously unfulfilled potential. Kind of like the king-maker decision with Alistair, but even more pronounced. Her vision of the chantry is my favorite of the three (unhardened Leliana being a somewhat distant second), and the epilogue suggests that she does indeed becomes a very capable Divine, ushering a new golden age and such.

Bah. I'll probably try a warrior Trevelyan for my second playthrough after some patches and maybe DLC, with Cass as LI, and see if I can help her ascend the Sunburst Throne.

I think it's a good choice if you don't care about her on a personal level. Like if she's just another companion, and you view her as capable, professionally.

The world will still be fine without her in that position though.

The things we should worry about are Archdemons and crazed Magisters. That's when the world falls apart. Not when Cassandra and the Inquisitor are in a romance. Besides, she's the type of character who will always do good in the world, no matter where she is. If you like her morals, it doesn't matter if she's Divine or not. She'd affect people's lives anyways.

It's gross. Worse than some of the weirdest porn out there.

That's Bioware for you though.

Man, I just popped in to say how awesome Cassandra is and I saw all the above posts.........

Now I'm just going to tip my hat to the Lady Seeker and back out slowly. Good day, everyone.

I don't know what that even does for people. It's so detached from anything to do with real sex. That's the main thing I don't get.

I'm kind of hoping that DA4 (or even a DLC) have Cass abdicate from the Divine position once all her reforms are in place to give it to Mother Giselle.

Her dialogue right after the epilogue (to make her rejoin the party) is the equivalent of "I totally hate this job already and I'm not even crowned yet".

I have yet to finish the game and already I have an headcanon that one day, servants in the Grand Cathedral and Skyhold rise to find two notes of abdication with suggestions on sucessors.

And the only people who ever saw them again were those who had been wronged and needed help.

Inspired by Solas and Cass's banter on giving up power.

The cheese shield and the Sad Weapon, which is a banana-on-a-stick. Just need some cardboard box armor and Cassandra will be indestructible.

I'm reloading old saves ATM to see some of the different bits of dialogue that I missed & I found something kinda cool.

Turns out Swords & Shields isn't as steamy as Cass lets on.

If you bash Varic's writing by saying "Well if its badly written smut no wonder Cassandra was embarrassed I cough her reading it."

Varic laughs, saying that Swords & Sheilds is more romantic fluff than smut & that he doesn't compete in that market. That it is too cut throat for him  .

Cass is a romantic through & through  ^_^

Does she say that to mages too? I know she did with Templar (allies).

Crazy the conversations one reads in forums sometimes.

Aside from that, I do have some wonderings, and wanted to see if anyone could help me organize it. If it's been discussed before I'm sorry, I'm not about to filter through nearly 800 pages :D

The big thing I'm wondering about is How long is Cassandra a Tranquil for? She mentions a year of solitude, but is it solitude or is it while she was unknowingly a tranquil? There's probably no clear cut answer as everything about the Seekers seems vague still but I'd be interested in your guys' thoughts.

The other is a thought I just had. Seekers are said to be resistant to Red Lyrium, the Red stuff is said to have the Blight sickness within it. So could that mean that Seekers are resistant/immune to the Taint? It's just a random thought and it'd be interesting to see if it can be taken for anything.

Interesting thought. I think we can only guess at the moment.

I'm not a big fan of spirits becoming too much a part of the world (I want to enforce reality, as Cass does.. heh), but it seems like their Tranquil ritual is worth the trouble. For many reasons. I would become a Seeker in a heartbeat.

I gathered that it was that whole year she was tranquil.

Going by Cole/Cassandra and Solas/Cass banters, the tranquil state was only for a moment. Although, I have a problem believing that Cassandra was able to empty herself of all emotions for a full year without it, she's way too passionate.

I already brought up the idea that Seekers are resistant/immune to the taint because of their resistance to red lyrium and some people got pissed at me. :/

(If by Taint, you didn't mean the Blight, this entire post is now rendered irrelevant!)

I can hazard a guess at who got pissed at you lol, as they are currently the only guests on my ignore list.

It wouldn't surprise me that they'd be resistant/immune to the taint. Maybe its a benefit of being touched by a Spirit of Faith, or some higher power reason. I mean, Fiona use to be a Warden, and the taint left her for Maker knows what reason, so its not impossible.

Heck, if I remember correctly, and whoever can correct me if I'm wrong, I'd be grateful;

(Spoilerish due to last quest in Act 1 if you side with Mages)

Spoiler

And I like to think it was because of the tranquil state that Cassandra is so passionate. Being tranquil rids the person of their emotions, from the surface to the depths of their souls. So any emotion Cassandra experiences now, there's probably a new depth to how it effects her due to her being tranquil in the past, that hardly any other people are able to achieve.

But who knows, I might be pulling at strings here. But until any and all official answers are given to situations like these, thats the joy of sharing our theories and personal opinions.
