I think he means for Cassandra romance in particular.
Edit: Or maybe not.
Not really, I don't care enough about that to tell other people not to play other races for five minutes out of the game. That said, everything but human is terrible.

Its a shame Gaspard has to die for it.
He is a warmongering Chevalier. I won't lose any sleep over it. That said, I'd prefer he just be arrested. Maybe even judged at Skyhold.

They could have worked on these backgrounds better for sure.
With the info provided, I have a hard enough time creating backstory for my human and rogue. Mage is the easiest. While everyone else is much harder to wrap my head around.
I wouldn't play those anyways. If I play a Dalish male, my motivation is pretty set to be antagonistic to the Chantry and her. I don't care for an angry romance.. it's too sweet to be.

Right because of the elves he supposedly killed in his rite.
I assume you're not very forgivin of Celene as well since she slaughtered a bunch of elves in Halamshiral?

Meh, the romance isn't really angry. There's parts where she says things like, "I know you don't believe what I believe, but...."
Then again, I don't have it in me to be purposely antagonistic to my companions unless they're that way first, and since Cassandra was never purposely antagonistic, I just respectfully disagreed with her. It worked out fine.
I know the lines, but from my own perspective, it would be a little.. once I settled on an RP concept. She has her own thoughts.
I could change more aspects of my character to fit the game, but I'd rather not bother. Best to just be single and angry, in this case. ![]()

I prefer all three alive and Orlesian politics in chaos tbh. That way Alistair and Anora could sire a scion that would rival Drakkon in legend and expansionism. With Loghain's brilliant mind and Calenhad's ancient blood nothing would stop the Emperor of Ferelden from conquering southern Thedas.

He outright tells you he plans to invade Ferelden if you talk to him about what he'd do as emperor. That would kill way more people than anything Celene could do and thus I have no problem letting him die.

You know that's never going to happen. Anora is probably as barren as the wastes if she hasn't had a child after almost a decade. Her biological clock is almost up.

You do know that even if Loghain lives, he will be too busy being warden commander of Orlais, right?

It's all good. Alistair could just pay Morrigan to fetch him the heart of a Snowy White Wyvern. Problem solved. Fereldan Emperor confirmed.

Not supposedly. Did. And he also wishes to "reclaim Orlais' lost property", so if he ruled he would cause the deaths of thousands.
What Celene did was irredeemable yes. However, she is a lesser evil and causes more good than Gaspard.

It has already been stated multiple times that you can do a mission where he has peace talks with the ruler of Ferelden. Afterwards he won't invade.

I meant his grandson. He will inherit Loghain's genius and Alistair's dragon-blood.

It's not going to happen, and Alistair isn't smart enough to do it anyway.

Except Loghain is most likely gonna hear his calling soon. Who's gonna be the brilliant mind?

Dude, stop crushing my dreams.

His grandson. Did everyone besides Max miss the "sire a scion" part?

One other thing. I don't want the South/Orlais to really ally against anyone. Like Tevinter. What does that entail, ultimately? That I cozy up with the qunari eventually too?
I'd rather just see the South become a stronghold (like it's always been), and have both the Tevinters and Qunari to **** off.

My character doesn't know that. All he knows is that Gaspard will become an expansionist war-monger if he became emperor so he had no problem letting him be executed but tried to at least help the elves by reconciling Celene and Briala, but go ahead and tell me how I should rely on metagaming to make my RP choices.

Well, beter make sure they do it soon then.

Not to mention that even though he makes the alliance with Ferelen, he does no such thing with his other targets like Nevarra.

The key to any (sane) power is the Chantry. Nothing else.
Even on the political level. Josephine pretty much spells it out.
That is, if you're worried about Tevinter or Qunari.
You can thank Anders for ruining it.
