My character doesn't know that. All he knows is that Gaspard will become an expansionist war-monger if he became emperor so he had no problem letting him be executed but tried to at least help the elves by reconciling Celene and Briala, but go ahead and tell me how I should rely on metagaming to make my RP choices.

Remember the devs said that sometimes getting the best outcome required doing things you don't like? This is one of those times.

I see Gaspard like Bhelen. An douche that get's the job done, stop people from fighting their petty wars and focus on the bigger picture. Main difference is that Gaspard is not even half of the douchebag that Bhelen was.

Bhelen is a domestic policy visionary.

Gaspard is like one of Republican warhawks, who see nothing but reasons for more Defense spending.

Except he isn't. He wants to remove the game and restructure Orlais. The fact that he's a chevalier isn't the only detail about his character known.

I'm not talking about the chevalier thing. In the book, he just seemed to focus on borders (much like Loghain) and outside threat.

The only reason he'd change the Game is insecurity. Not real policy. He sucks at it.

May I make a request if anybody is playing the game at the moment? I'd like to have something approximate to this picture in real screenshot quality (it's from the cutscene with Cassandra hitting the Bull with a stick). It's for a collage we´ll hang on the wall soon but I don't have the game yet. Thanks :)

I'm pretty sure he hates the game because he finds it petty and an waste of time.

I'll take removal of the Game from warhawk Emperor to conniving back-stabbing pseudo-liberal swine that pretends to be an Empress.

Except Gaspard is a master of the game and he wants to change Orlais? What do you mean he sucks at it? Dudes one of the best.

It's your call, of course. I'm just saying. It's just insecurity on his part.

I'll just say one good thing about him. He'd be a useful puppet. Whether he's willing to be a puppet is another matter. But it's good that he has strong beliefs about borderlines and outside influence. You can use that. And he probably won't get involved in much else.

I realize this is the first time you get to romance a female warrior in a DA game unless im not remembering someone.

Funny how in my ending Celene and Briala wind up reconciling which winds up giving elves more rights than they ever had before and lead Orlais into a new golden age. Looks like the devs agree that Celene is required to get the best ending. I will never help Gaspard and gladly let him die. Simply put, you are wrong and the devs agree with me.

One thing I found hilarious on a subsequent rewatching of the Cassandra romance scene is that she says something like, "Carmena de Amatus? I thought this book was banned!"

And then immediately flips to the page she wants to read her poem.

I think the seeker must have a secret copy.

She probably has a secret cache somewhere in Orlais where she hides all her banned illegal romantic stuff.

Ok. Your world state sucks and I will never stop saying it. LOL.

See what I did there?

Why are we having a Celene/Gaspard debate in a Cassandra thread?

Funnily enough, elves weren't even mentioned in my endings, so it's far superior to yours.

Everything in Dragon Age revolves around Cassandra so it's permissible.

And it turns out it's not even bad. She's innocent.

Her desk next to her bedroll is filled with books.

I can even picture Grand Cleric Elthina reading some of this stuff. haha...

Someone made another thread saying it's 50 shades of grey. Not even close.

The 'picture book' Sera teases her about in banter says otherwise.

Well my ending gave me what I wanted and in that way it's far superior to yours.
