And to sum this exchange of ideas up I'll drop this in here. I don't want to talk about the Champion anymore. He sacrificed himself for Inquisitor Trevelyan and Warden Loghain. His story is done for me unless BioWare feels like there's more.

(Disgusted Noise).

Now back to Cassandra.

Because he can't kill. If he does then he becomes what he's vowed to fight. And he's aware that because of his psyche that would mean there's no turning back for him. It's isn't selfishness so much as not wanting to become a psychopath/sociopath.

Still the point remains, both have moments where they're not proactive for various reasons. If Batman's no-killing rule prevents him from offing Joker and preventing stuff like Jason Todd's murder or Oracle getting paralysed down the road, then Hawke's should be allowed the same slack for having tried to stay neutral in Act 3 and only gotten involved after Anders and Meredith had their meltdowns.

(And we should probably take this over to the other thread)

Anyone else curious how they'll manage the Cass romance if she's Divine, in a hypothetical (and hopeful) expansion for Inquisition?

I thought this thread was supposed to be about Cassandra.... ? Lol.

Anyway, first post here. Lurked for quite a while, since Mass Effect 1. Never had an interest to join a discussion till now, as I really love Inquisition due to feeling a lot more connected to my character than with the Warden and especially Hawke. Here's hoping we can continue their story, though I doubt it.

As for Cassandra, I think Morrigan's more entertaining of a character, but I'm more fond of Cassandra. She's my new favorite.

Welcome to the thread!

Cassandra has probably one of the best romance arcs in the games thus far, because it really evolved from a strong friendship to lovers in a believable way. My only criticisms about it was that I felt that they probably should have had the Inquisitor court her for longer? I suppose that the ridiculous effort that you put into the date was what finally won her over, but we could have had more date scenes?

Read the description about the Armor of the Knights Divine. That should clue you in.

I agree! The pacing of this game, being so long (If you choose for it to be) was really perfect for building a romance. I also agree we needed... more. After the romance is established, it could have really used an extra side quest or two dedicated to them, since establishing the relationship is so much fun. I kind of miss them not being together for that reason, you know?

Hey! Lol even here, people remember me. Yea I'm still defending them but not on the forums. Tumblr or the imperial library occasionally.

Max meet Killabee, probably the most stubborn person on the planet after you. Killabee, you'll probably remember me as FortifyShouts. We got into a couple verbal scraps over the Imps vs Cloaks debate.

Does Cassandra make specific remarks depending on your background when you romance her? Or bringing up your background is mainly initiated by the PC?

There is no way to implicate Briala of anything if Celene is alive. And there's no reason to, the throne is already hers, what could Briala possibly do? She just kills Briala, from what I've seen and played.

Wrong. You can implicate her after exposing Gaspard. It's the only instance where Celene execute Briala.

Any chance you could summarize it for those who don't have the armor of the knights divine or sold it?

Basically, every other Knight Divine (glorified bodyguard) has been rumored to be the lover of the Divine. Since the Templars are no more and the Order was absorbed into the Inquisition, that role and duty would fall to my Knight Enchanter/Inquisitor.

After the romance is initiated, the only thing I can think of that she said that recognized my background (elf) was if she had fallen prey to the wiles of an elven madman. Otherwise, nada.

The rules in this thread are simple. Everything in Dragon Age or related to Dragon Age or reminiscent of Dragon Age or tangentially tied to Dragon Age revolves around Cassandra. Therefore discussion of all these things are permissible. And no swooning unless you're a chick.

But I swoon every time Cass flexes at me, or flashes me that sexy scar smile. *Sob* I can't help it.
