True. I feel like Sera for Cass was a near equal trade in terms of romance options. Both awesome in their own right.

Anyone else love that look she gives you during the cutscene where she is asking for help writing a letter? IDK if she just does it for romance, but I thought whoever does the facial stuff did an awesome job.

Edit: Let's have some art, though it is less and less fun to even come here. I miss the days where we could discuss of our Inquisitor X Cass pairing without having our choices being looked down by others because we played other races than human or elf. Congrats for ruining one of the few threads where I felt confortable enough to post messages, guys.

Beautiful art!

I, for one, always approve of Cass with non-humans. <3

The Left hand was with Aeducan, and now the Right Hand will be with Cadash.

I think you guys are just trying to be different for the sake of it. Which I find insincere. It's similar to Hipster behavior. Embracing irony through and through.

I'll try to be polite for a second. You are humans yourselves.. you, the posters. If you had any inkling to like her, then your first thought would be about how you view men and women in general. Not women and dwarves. So what I find odd is that your roleplaying is so deep that you don't even think of men (humans). I'll never wrap my head around that level of immersion. Immersion is cool, but to say you PREFER one thing over something resembling yourself? That I don't understand.

Will never understand how Sera is attractive. Like at all.

To my defense, both of my dwarves are pro-chantry. Well, Aeducan doesn't have a problem with the chantry, he was more pro-stone. Besides, I heard Cassandra is a "thug" in the chantry, says some Bureaucrat in the prologue. :P

I like that she's Andrastian, but represents more casual/commoner interests. And the chaotic good mentality. It gives a kind of different, but fun spin on an otherwise serious mission.

The way I see it, you're going to have to make a bold decision either way. All of them require courage. Leliana and freeing all mages. Cass and losing love, because you value balance/moderation. Or Vivienne and granting mages power in the Chantry.

Pick your poison.

Oh well, Trevelyan was already wondering if depriving Flemeth of a powerful tool wouldn't be the right thing to do, anyway.

Well, as far as preferring something closer to myself... I am a 5'2" woman, not a 6'0" man, sooo...

I don't think anybody's being different for the sake of being different. Some people genuinely like different things.

None of that is enough to make me want to bang the insane chick I let join the Inquisition on a whim after she almost hit me with an arrow. But whatever floats your boat, man.

When did I say I prefer something over the other? Maybe you need to open your eyes just a little. I'm aware that all of these races look exactly like humans, I mean they've to base these unique races off of something. I'm more invested into the culture than anything else, but I don't really get into debates like this…so yea.  ;)

Coming from a woman, these choices somehow seem better. Because I think you aren't talking about the type of immersion I referred to. You can't help from being removed just a bit. You're screwing around and having fun. It's all good.

It's when people take these type of sexual/racial preferences seriously. They're not screwing around.

From the comments she makes in game, no. Just avoid her becoming divine if you want them to still be together. It's pretty easy.

its very difficult for me

I don't like Vivienne at all so I don't want her to become Divine

My Warden romanced Leliana and after ten years of being apart (at least most of the time) its time for them to be together (like she says "for good this time"

soo..

I'm more over it now that the game is out. Before release, I wasn't too keen on taking my Inquisitor role seriously and she jumped out at me as a good companion for that ride. But now the game is out, it's a little different.

Leliana stays with the Warden. Plus, it's not like Divines haven't had lovers before.

Buuut I'm not screwing around, either. At least not more than anybody else who roleplays. I just really like DA dwarves, I like playing them, and I like Cassandra. Trying to ascribe some kind of real world fetishism to people playing a race they like and romancing characters they like is just... presumptuous.

Little known fact: I am Greta Garbo.

It's not presumptuous. I see evidence of it all the time. Not so much the dwarves though. Hardly anyone even talks about them. Qunari are pretty fetishized though. Both from devs and players.

That said, and I'm making a big assumption here, but I think she would have been romancable for females if the game was human only, as originally planned.

really? different tastes I suppose

I thought she was the most annoying companion in the game and kicked her out of the party after her personal quest

At first I was pissed that she wasn't a option for male gamers but after playing the game damm I'm glad now that we got Cassandra (who I didn't like before Inquisition now she is my favourite companion with Iron Bull)

I'll have you know that I am a demisexual elven otherkin dwarf, mixed with pony and kitsune ancestry. My headmates are a slightly burnt slice of raspberry pie named Jim (though he prefers James) and Tom Hiddleston's left index finger.

Poor Jim. Longterm relationships must get pretty moldy. ;)
