As a woman, I can safely say... different strokes for different folks.
No offense, but the Bioware fanbase is weird
I'm apart of it too though, so I mean nothing by that. That's part of why it's awesome.

She was talking about Iron Bull.
Yea I know that's your outlook on it, but I don't buy it. Women, and people in general really, can't always get past appearance just by what's on the inside. Realistically a woman typically just isn't going to be into something like a qunari... it's just absurd.
Sera sure. A woman like Cassandra...
Sure the banter may have been regarding Bulls horns, but if anything all it does is show that she doesn't become weak in the knees at the sight of Qunari horns.
As far as the race is concerned, she doesn't mind being with a Qunari so long as they fit the mold of her ideal man. This is why she turns Iron Bull down, yet gets together with the inquisitor. Not everyone goes on physical appearance, some go by who the person is on the inside. This is illustrated perfectly by her refusal to IB's advances and her acceptance to a Qunari Inquisitor's.
And lets be honest here, if Ugly Shepard can get with Miranda why can't Cassandra get with a Qunari inquisitor? ![]()
Pff, Miranda is a horse. As for Shephard, Shephard's a good looking dude, assuming you mean default Shephard.
Anyway, we're not likely to agree and there's no need to go really into it. I just have a hard time believing a normal woman like Cassandra would ever seriously be into a Qunari without the protagonist card.
That said, I have seen a few pretty badass and handsome looking Qunari PCs around here and there. Generally speaking though...
I suppose we can agree to disagree.
This was the monstrosity I was referring to though.

****, my eyes.
Miranda deserves it.
I'm sure he's a gem on the inside. ![]()
Lol I know the opinion's probably an unpopular one, and I don't mean to step on toes for Qunari fans
Just speaking my mind.
All 12 of them? I'm sure they'll appreciate your honesty.

Lol all 12 huh? Not as popular as I thought they'd be around here then. I was certain they'd be a huge hit since people were begging to play as one.

That was before they turned the physique into hodor and removed the sclera from DA2. Not to mention, the lack of Qunari specific armors.

Agreed. I've never met a single "woman," I'll admit I'm rather youngish so your results may vary, that says looks don't matter in the slightest. That being said, besides their hair, I don't think qunari were designed to not be attractive.
I'm not gonna lie, I'd hook up with a Qunari. She could reach so many shelves...
Be that as it may, a guy can be as sweet and charming and romantic as he pleases, your average woman won't want to f**k him if he looks like Rocky Dennis. Personality is a plus, but people aren't so kind as to let it replace looks entirely. Everybody is selfish, even if only a little bit. Anyone who says that looks don't matter to them has either not seen very many people they would say are ugly, or is a bold-faced liar.

No, Cass wouldn't hook up with Bull, but it's equally absurd that some outsider Vashoth can recite Maker-inspired erotic poetry and participate in human courting rituals very well either. It takes a certain kind of chutzpah and familiarity with all of the references to make it work. The Qunari trying to pull off the "ideal man" comes off absurd. The whole scenario displays more comedy and irony than it should (it has it's own level of comedy. It doesn't need more). The same could be said for a Dalish too. They're all about as oblivious as Merrill is.
Quick question for you guys, since search in this thread didn't give me any results. Is it better to lock the romance before the ball or not? What are the differences?

You and all these references that I never get. I'm as out of my element here as a Qunari is with Cass.
Eh.. carry on. ![]()

I always assumed that if you don't start it at least by Haven then it won't go through. That's apparently the case for Blackwall if you miss one of his heart options.
I've never not flirted with Cass out of fear of facking it up, lol.

I see. I haven't posted in 2 days or so. I saw that EVERYONE else was now carrying on about it. Heh..
As you wish though. I really don't have anything else to say.

Yep. Still clueless here. ![]()
Should I watch that or something?
I have this on another thread as well ![]()
Inquisitor to Cassandra after she becomes divine.
"They name thee before me,
A knell to mine ear;
A shudder comes o'er me...
Why wert thou so dear?
They know not I knew thee,
Who knew thee too well..
Long, long shall I rue thee,
Too deeply to tell.
In secret we met
In silence I grieve
That thy heart could forget,
Thy spirit deceive.
If I should meet thee
After long years,
How should I greet thee?
With silence and tears"

I already liked your other post. Not sure I should do it twice. It's good, but really depressing. ![]()

The poem is one of my favorites from Byron, it is entitled "When We Two Parted". Find the full piece, it is quite good.
