It won't happen because that would make the Inquisitor join the Chantry, instead of just being in service to it. BioWare has to at least pretend that the Inquisition is neutral.

Yeah, Dorian pretty much calls out that "Inquisition is a Neutral party" Bullshit, saying it is essentially an arm of the Orlesian Chantry, which it is.

Still though, it would be a cool option for a Inquisitor who BOLIEVES in the Maker & is Cassandra's BFF or Lover.

BTW you guys hear the Banter between Dorian & Cassandra where he says she would be crazy to take the sun burst thrown, that it would place a Huge target on her head?

Got me thinking how long will Divine Victoria (Whoever she is) will stay on the sun burst throne.

For those that made Cass the Divine, is she locked out of the party for you as well after beating the game? Because she is for me on Xbox One despite me tell her she can join my party.

I can't either :(  That is sad, maybe after finishing my 2nd play-through I will try selecting her again

Note: What happened with all the "Leliana hate" here? I don't get it

The name of the pic is Divine Heretic. So they did bludgeon their way in.

I'm glad they cut it out though. It's disgusting. The Qunari already are set on raping everything else in this world. No need to overdo it.

I agree, from a pure story perspective it would have been ridiculous and Bioware would get the sh*tstorm they got from the Mass Effect 3 ending all over again

Her ending is a cop out so people don't like it. Don't think it extends beyond that. She's also overbearing, but that's a different story.

I didn't mean to imply it was actually true, just saying.

What's your reason then? I thought that poster was speaking more on her Divine ending, which is most of the discussion about Leliana in this thread is about. Though to be honest, I could probably take a gander.

Personally I think it's just funny to annoy her and crush her dreams, but I'm an awful person, so...

LOL and then people would make jokes about how the divine pleasures herself with her right hand.

1st: You are a Legend

2nd: But Cassandra is Left handed... I wonder... his right hand assisting her left... working together vigorously into the late hours of the night... in service to the divine... so that her will be done...

And I'll show myself out...

Nah, you're not.   -_-

I'm open to Leliana being Divine.. one day. I think all of them are valid in their own way. Just that Leliana requires more faith for me to believe than others. Lots of faith, in fact. Considering that everyone believes in my Inquisitor so much, it's funny that I can't do the same for someone else.

As do I, lol.

I hate this **** because she is a self rightous self important moron. The minute, the MINUTE you meet her, she starts yapping about her vision from THE maker, oh what a special snowflake you are! I knew she was crazy, Alistair knew it, everyone did. Then you pretty much have it confirmed that she was lying in the mission to find the ashes. She's an attention seeking airhead.

Plus, I hate that ditsy dumb blonde thing. She was so pathetic that she had to look at you to reassure herself that what her old mentor said about her was false. As if she doesn't even know herself. The same mentor that betrayed her and got her tortured, maybe even raped in prison, then almost killed. This chick is path-et-ic.

And now here, I swear I think she only wants to be Divine for the attention, just like back in that chantry. She's a bard after all. They're always the center of attention.

I purposefully banged her then left her for Morrigan, lol. "It's just animal noises." LOLOLOLOL

Not to mention the chick won't shut the **** up. Holy ****. For someone with a lisp, this ****** sure loves to talk. Orlesian accent AND a lisp?

I CAN'T.

Her original vision wasn't elaborate enough to be a lie. She didn't make outlandish claims. She just said she dreamed of the blight. Not spoke to the Maker or anything. I could say it was just hopeful wishing on her part, or crazy, or just a dream.. but I wouldn't call her a liar. Or maybe it was true too.

I believe her and my Warden told her as much.

:-)

Anyway, I had a really heart-breaking conversation with Cassandra today in my still ongoing first playthrough.

Basically, she's REALLY upset with me because I don't want her to be Divine.

Which is awkward for us both not because I'm not Andrastrian but BECAUSE I AM.

I'm just Andrastrian the same way Varric is. No respect for the church and a very-very liberal sort of guy.

While Cassandra is very-very conservative.

Just the compassionate kind.

Man, is she pissed off about the fact I think the Chantry has failed. It felt like a real argument, like I didn't want to share the truth but she was dragging it out.

My wife agreed, it sounded like us.

As a chrisitian, I see and hear people making huge claims from small stuff like this all the time. My great grandfather actually "interprets" dreams in this way for people, and I admit it makes sense what he says, but lets be real. Even with me being a christian I think it's bullshit. Difference here though is she uses these silly dreams to reassure herself that she's meant to be a special snowflake.

The first dream was the one about that rose. The first one you personally hear is merely the insignificant one. It starts big, then suddenly every little dream means something special.

I understand what you mean. I just think this world (dragon age) has slightly different rules. Hell, especially with dreams. I feel the same way as you though when it comes to real life. I don't really indulge too much discussion like that.

Yea I don't plan on busting out the can of worms, lol, but whether she's wrong or not, whether she's lying or not, I still believe she loves the attention. Which I despise. And the devs just love shoving her in our faces. That thing they pulled with her dying and coming back was hilarious though.

It was a good troll. I can respect that. Even I don't kill her off, but I'm Andrastian and would never taint her ashes anyway.

The problem for me has always been that Cassandra is my favorite candidate.. but I'm selfish. I hate this whole ridiculous situation. And then reassure myself that the world isn't ending because the Divine isn't her. Vivienne works.

It's funny that you think she's too conservative. I think she's a moderate. More than I like actually, but mostly she's cool.

Cassandra would never be Inquisitor. If she wasn't after a good 4 years, that was never going to happen. Besides, Leliana and her share the same rank and privileges. It's not like Cass would have it by default, and it's not like anyone of the other advisors would let her. She doesn't even like you, which she tells you, until  the second act, and actually hated the idea of your leading them. Plenty of time to take the title, and it never happens.

Some of us aren't PC elitist, bish.

Solas and Vivienne have banters with Cassandra about how she let the leadership of the Inquisition go away from her, but she's not the leader because Justinia didn't want to see a Chantry higher up as the leader and Cassandra agreed on the idea. Cassandra explains it at some point in the game.

Also, Cassandra never hated my Herald(s). :P

Got me thinking how long will Divine Victoria (Whoever she is) will stay on the sun burst throne.

All the epilogues gave me the impression that Divine Victoria's reign was going to be short lived. What happen with the Divine is probably individual based though. I can see Vivienne being murdered by someone who don't want a mage as Divine. Leliana seems to either murder or blackmail/deceive many people to get what she wants on top of freeing mages which are hated by most mundanes. I don't see her having many friends around.

Cassandra is easier though. Staying on that throne is going to drive her crazy and she have no issue letting go of power when she believes she is not needed. She's probably going to abdicate once here reforms are well implemented in the system.
