Is the "cup runneth over" a religious reference or Sex in the City?
Ha, both? I'd say both, lol.
As for marriage, I'd say "ideally" she certainly would be. In practice though, who knows. Depends on her current job description.

So! Is Cass the marrying type, or do you think she'd forego a more "formal" commitment?
Is that not the apex of a traditional comedic romance? It does seem like her romance is destined for tragedy, so it is more likely that the question will never be asked of her.I think she would marry the person she loves, I just don't think it will happen.
It is a bit much to expect from a woman so devout and strong. She's an action lady. I can't see her settling down until she truly feels her job to the world and the Maker is done.

I don't know if it's designed for tragedy or not. They want to close up loose ends on Southern Thedas.. why end on a bad note. I mean, unless we forced that bad note on purpose. If people play well, they shouldn't be punished needlessly.
Solas is an exception, because I think it goes beyond these regional issues. There will be more to see.

Action ladies get married too. I've said this before, but Cass reminds me of my mom a bit. She's the toughest woman I know. Even has a damn bullet wound on her neck. ![]()

Lol of course. Though was she already a soldier when your parents met, or did she become one after?
Actually, that probably doesn't matter. I just think she's too busy with her career and trying to change the world, but we've seen enough of her other side to know that in the pursuit of the ideal, she might be persuaded. And with you being the inquisitor, it's not like you'd be out of important work anytime soon anyway. It's easier to be married and pursue a career when your spouse is doing the same.

Thanks for the insight, amigos.
I was just thinking about Aveline, and how she got married twice despite being a duty-bound warrior queen. Not that it's something I think we'll get to see or ask in-game (though that's not impossible. See: Sebastian), it's fun to think about.
I'm more curious if Cass could beat Aveline's ass. Aveline resembles my avatar too.

Nah, she's not a soldier actually. My dad was. She just grew up in a tough place. She's just an action woman in approaching life in general, I guess ![]()

They just saved the world. Heroes of thedas and not merely Ferelden/Orlais/etc.. How much duty does one have to indulge in? There's time for a little of both.

Aw, I was already sorry to hear she was shot, but even moreso when she wasn't even fighting. I'm glad it didn't stop her though.
As for how much action, who knows. I'm assuming there's more trouble to come in a time with so much rapid change. It's unstable at the moment.

Well if they do want to throw a monkey wrench into this, then I hope they kill my Inquisitor. I'd prefer that than some forced breakup or something. If I'm gonna leave the story on a bad note, may as well go out with a bang. Not with depression. I don't need any prolonged b.s. Just end it.

No, devout being a reason why she would. Do only "weak" people marry (was Aveline)? Cassandra likes symbolically romantic things, going by that behaviour as evidence I could see her marry the Inquisitor. I will need context for what you mean by settling down, that could have everything from sexual connotations to occupational things etc.

Her being devout could also keep her from it if you think about it. After all, you can't be equally devout to two lives. Not saying this would actually be an issue, but that it's a possible one.
I mean settling down with a marital home and bed, possibly having kids, living in one city. Normal stuff.
If she does, I'd expect her settling down being running the Seekers from one location as the leader. So not running around all over the place, but still having an important chantry related job while getting to come home every day.

For the records, most romance in da not always end in a bad note. Hawke LI will join him/her eventually as mention by Varric. Alistair and Morrigan are together or seperated from Warden is depend on player choice. Lel still mention her love for Warden time to time. The one they seem to screwed up is Zevren.
Actually, I think Zevran is handled well. The content isn't there, but it's one of the few romances without any forced problems or tragedy. People who ran off with Alistair in DAO are put in a bad situation here, in the Hawke choice. Or Morrigan and the well. I've read that Zevran wasn't the most popular romance statistics wise, so maybe it gets a free pass for that. You don't have to choose him between someone else.

Devout is a bad aspect, only if she becomes divine.
Marriage does not = kids, a house and a bed, or so-called “normal stuff”. Living comfortably = a house (home base) and a bed. Marriage is simply a symbolic gesture between two people, it is up to said people to decide how they live together. As for kids, Cassandra is almost forty. I doubt she would have kids within two years. I could see her and the Inquisitor adopt an orphan and treat them sort of like a son or daughter/squire.

Adoption would be pretty badass too. Seems kind of in-character for her.. if she were to do it at all.

I expect normalcy when married, especially for someone interested in the "ideal". That's the ideal to me. And forty isn't ancient, people have kids in their forties. She looks in her mid thirties to me though.
Though I never said I personally was pushing for any of that, marriage or otherwise.

Haha.. I'm pushing 40. I'm hope I'm not ancient. I'm Cassandra's age, I think (just turned 37).

You can't really go into this thinking about your ideal marriage, you have to empathize with Cassandra's character and ask the question "what is marriage really?" All it is is a symbolic gesture, or ceremony. Since there is no Thedaian “federal government” lol, that means people are even more free to define within their relationship what their marriage is. What is their ontology? Your ideal might not work, but you have to think what would work within the framework of who Cassandra and the Inquisitor are. I think in most cases (depending on varying Inquisitors, and if Cassandra becomes Divine or not) marriage itself is possibility with Cassandra. Moreover, forty in our own world is a rare age to be having a baby (because of health risks). This has never been talked about in DA, but in a medieval setting, I would expect that most women would start having babies in their mid late teens and early 20s, 30 being considered late. I’m not sure of the age at which women start going through menopause in DA. In our reality, traditionally it was mid-late forties, but now the average age is something like 51.
