LOL, that was an epic line. Ah, its rare we get as good a sci-fi show as Babylon 5. I miss you.

So! Is Cass the marrying type, or do you think she'd forego a more "formal" commitment?
Why would she not be the marrying type? Being married doesn't mean you have to quit your job and stay at home all day.
Ash had a different writer in ME3 if I'm not mistaken. Which probably accounts for why she was a bit different. Gotta sex someone up for the 11 year olds, that's the only motivating factor in their purchase. Or so the ME team thinks.
She did. Chris L'Etoile (who wrote her in ME1, as well as ME2 Legion) left Bioware after ME2. I don't know who wrote her in ME3.

Jay Watamunuiak or however you spell it.
Funnily, I used to hang out at a private mmo board years ago and there was this guy there I befriended.. who always had the most insightful posts on design.. and turned out it was Chris. That whole time he was writing Legion and ME2, I guess. I didn't even know.
To be fair, she's a Spectre now. More spacecop than space marine. She doesn't need heavy armor necessarily.
Eww, don't remind me that she's a Spectre. Spectres are supposed to be the #1 big badasses of the galaxy, and Ashley gets the job after doing nothing of note. Shepard's background pre-ME1 may be hazy apart from what you choose, but at least he/she has done SOMETHING to distinguish them from the rest of the rank-and-file.

Let's uh...cease discussion about Mass Effect altogether if we can. I can only be reminded so much of the ending before having to grab my inhaler. ![]()

Oh right, it was Jay. Jay also wrote Miranda's part in ME3. That was horrible too. He didn't just give her the idiot ball, he threw it at her full-force and hit her head-on.
And yeah, Chris is pretty cool with neat ideas. I remember reading something from him (a reddit AMA, so it may be fake, but whatever) where he took issue with how Legion was handled in ME3 (I don't at all blame him, I hated the "I wanna be a real boy!" story arc for him in 3).

I heard he is a writer in the Austin studio now.

I know that he left entirely once at least.. he was with some small company.. it'd be great if he's back.

According to his LinkedIn, he last worked for Waystone Games, where he wrote in-game dialogue for the playable characters in Dawngate. Dawngate is getting shut down (and with Waystone being dismantled) sometime in early 2015, so I don't know what he's been doing since that announcement was made (last month).
Some of that stuff must be cut content.
When are all these games of Wicked Grace taking place? And all the banter about practicing bouts against each other? I romanced Cass, kept her in my party almost all the time, and talked to her every chance I got and I heard none of them.
ETA: scratch that, I don't think I heard 3/4 of these. Where are they and when do you get them? The only ones I remember getting are the ones at the beginning about the companions.
And what's up with all the comments at the end (last 5-10 comments) Miranda Raison sounds breathless in each one. What is Cassandra supposed to be doing, running?
I think it's horseback banter.
Since that's not even a thing, at least not any longer, I'm guessing it's some of the content that didn't make release.

Damn Horseback banter was a thing? Why cut this? Why?
Do you know how much I'd love playing mini games with the gang? If they did this, only this and added a good bit of new interesting dialogue with the companions, I'd pay good money for it indeed. Especially in groups. I want chess too.
Playing games alone with Cass. I could do that all day.

Calm down. They plan on adding a bunch of stuff back in with patches. Maybe this'll make it.

Hope you're right. Sparring with Cassandra was highly anticipated in this thread. If they fix the sound bugs in general horseback banter would add a lot too.
You'd lose, tbh. Barriers prohibited.
Though frankly it's ridiculous to have a woman who probably spent the better part of 20 years on the back of a horse be afraid of horses. How'd she get around Thedas? The only ways to get around are walking and horseback.
Not like them? Maybe. Be scared/apprehensive of them? Ridiculous.
You don't have many phobias, then. Those don't ever go away, lessen sure, but I would never expect them to just disappear.

I'm fucked then because I don't even have the latest patch yet. Too many people saying it broke their games, and a friend of mine's character even turned into an old lady... They have quick fixes n' junk, but I'm still paranoid. I had a lot of issues even without that and recently got DA I to finally work more or less as it was intended. I don't want to download anything unless I'm assured the **** works, which hasn't happened yet.
