All she's said at most is "But what if I'm made divine?"

Then if you answer we can still be together she'll say I'm not so sure, which isn't the same as you're wrong. It simply means she doesn't know.

And I don't get how to make "I'll always stand by your side." more clear, but even if you don't actually see her again, it still shows she wants to be with you when she gets the chance. So at worst, it's still not a break up. Even at the end you say we still have time, which she says is true. She's leaving, yes, but she's not dumping you.

Lol you guys saw that scene completely different from me. It's depressing but still very much hopeful. You can of course interpret it how you wish, but until someone in Bioware says something, it's very much open to your interpretation. But to me there's no way someone can call that her breaking up with you though. Just no way to manipulate that from the English language.

Well, the question for what happens to a romanced Leliana if she becomes divine kind of confirms that the Divine has to take a vow of celibacy. Cassandra doesn't seem to be the type to completely get rid of that like Leliana and she doesn't seem the type to have a secret lover. That plus that conversation and the one where she says that she thinks her duty is to become divine kind of implies she's willing to give up her happiness for her duty. I'm not optimistic enough to believe that the relationship will continue if she becomes divine so I'm glad Leliana will become divine in my games since I get to keep Cass around and my ideal Divine gets put in power. Everyone wins.

I meant the Seekers in general being formed. It still matters what you do in Cass' quest. Without them, Leliana's situation sounds disastrous.

I think that person in that video either didn't do Cass' quest or told her to disband the seekers since the video said the Divine reformed the Seekers, not Cass as Leliana was divine in this video.

Huh.. weird. Fair enough though.

I have no idea what happens with a romanced leliana because my warden doesn't like having sex with kids, lol, but as for a secret lover, if they can accept a mage, I doubt they'll care their divine's banging the herald of Andraste. The woman that bangs the maker. Cassandra also wouldn't have said "I'm not so sure" in relation to your relationship, she would have just simply brought up celibacy if that were a thing for them.

All I know is what I heard from her mouth. Doesn't get much clearer.

"I'll always stand by your side is, more likely than not, a declaration that the Chantry will always stand by the Inquisition.

I think I'd just say "You'll always have my support," if that were the case. Much more businesslike.

Worst case scenario, Vivienne becomes the Divine for me, which works since I think she makes an awesome divine anyway.

And all the talk about putting duty first and forgetting about what she wants? All the doubt of it actually working? Believe what you want, but I'm a practical person. It's not really that practical to think she'll go for something she says she really doesn't think will work out at every turn.

Having feelings for someone, and them having feelings for you, does not make you in a relationship. The whole point of our line of thinking is there will never be that chance, and it gets in the way of what she's trying to accomplish. The life of a politician does not allow for such dalliances, especially long term.

That's called being optimistic. It's not practicle. But yeah, do whatever you want. "You'll have to wait and see," and all.

I think she's... tapped into her a more innocent side of herself is all. Kind of like a born again Christian.

Lol you're kidding, politicians get along in relationships all the time. At worst, it's in secret. Does she seem like the type to do that, I don't really know, but I'm not sure where people get the idea you can't do your duty or pursue a career and be in a relationship. That's not how things work.

If a romanced Leliana becomes Divine, she will continue the relationship with the Warden. At first, it will be in secret, then an open secret, and then Leliana will abolish the vow of celibacy the Divine has to have so that she can have an open relationship with the Warden. Cassandra strikes me as too conservative to abolish the vow of celibacy or have the Inquisitor as a secret lover.

She's a politician in a Church that is stationed a country away. It's not happening. That's ignoring the laws darkone brought up several times.

Ah I see. She didn't seem all that conservative, you have a chance to tell her that she seems idealistic even, which is never something associated with conservatives.

If anything, that makes me more hopeful.

A church that can elect a mage and is all around desperate as hell. If leliana can pull it off, we can.

If Morrigan's relationship can work, ours certainly can as well.

Also, the Gaider guy saying you'll see pretty much shows we'll hear more of this probably in some dlc.

Except Cassandra won't...First she'd have to want to, and I very much doubt she does.

The Warden has to abandon everything to make their relationship work.

And it'll be depressing, because Gaider wrote it.

If the inquisitor has to abandon everything, that'd be fine with me, his job is done. You could be her right hand. And why wouldn't Cassandra want to when she still loves you? Yes she's dedicated to her duty, but she never states she wouldn't try if made divine. She says "I'm not so sure."

We wouldn't even get the option to say "We can still be together," if her being the divine was a sure fired end of their relationship.

Haven't y'all ever heard taking a break in a relationship? :P She probably won't be Divine forever.

If Fenris and Isabela can take off for years with no warning, and Leliana can do Justinia's dirty work while the Warden hunts for a cure to the Calling, etc. etc. I'm sure there's a smidgen of a chance for Cass x Inquisitor in the event that she becomes Divine Victoria.

I suppose the question is... will it be three years or thirty?

It'd be maybe ten or something at best. It's not very likely that the divine spot will stay the same, and when it switches hands, that's when I bet she'll reunite, IF you don't already visit her as divine.

One is Divine for life. Unless she steps down, and her reforms might not last long if she does that.

We wouldn't even get the option to say "We can still be together," if her being the divine was a sure fired end of their relationship.

It's that thing called denial.

And yea, it seems people haven't heard of a break before, lol. I had no idea that Leliana and the warden still hook up after all of this, but that pretty much goes to show Dragon Age relationships don't end unless you want them to.

Stepping down once her job seems done seems very likely to me.

Kinda like taking "I'll always stand at your side," as a break up? :P Even if you don't get to reunite because of her job, it's clear she doesn't actually officially sever the tie.

Meh, even if we're confirmed later that this is pretty much the end, I still like the ending. Helping Cassandra do what she always wanted to do, which is to help the world, that's worth an end to a good relationship. I'm fine with supporting her as inquisitor.

The ending of the game "if it can last", it sounds like we might get an expansion. Who knows what'll come with that, but if we do, anything could happen.

I kinda want Cassandra's divine spot to last a while but if it doesn't due to something bad happening, then reuniting time :) I imagine it'll be something like Shephard and Liara in Mass effect 2's dlc. Either way, I'd rather have a fulfilling ending that leads to something.
