Oh, I understand. I'm the same way. I write a lot of poetry that never sees the light of day.

I don't consider unshared art (whether it's music, writing, etc.) to be less meaningful. It's just acknowledging that once it's out there... it's out there.

Yeah, I know. I just commend it. I know Gaider has said himself he sees his characters like children... so I know he's coming from this same place. And yet he lets people have their way with them (especially when it comes to death). To me, it must be harder to write for games like this, as opposed to a novel.

Yeah, I imagine it's a bit like hearing people brag all day long about killing your favorite character (Zevran, Leliana, Anders, probably a bunch of other people), only worse 'cause you created them.

But then... sometimes seeing your characters' lives fall into absolute ruin is the best part! I'm looking at you, Vampire: The Masquerade. :bandit:

And it should bother you. It means you're not a soulless deviant. :P

True, things of that nature will always bother me. There was a phase were I was legitimately too overprotective of anything I created. Not that I shouldn't be, but it's just unreasonable on the internet, you'll drive yourself crazy.

Most things I'll just grudgingly nod.

I play the piano typically once, sometimes, twice a day. Just spontaneously play something out of my head... sounds really good sometimes, but I never record it. It's just for me and anyone around who wants to listen.

Oh, good luck! :)

Thanks.

I don't understand how creators don't just troll the crap out of kink memes all day long.

Unless... unless they do.

lol, now there's a thought.
I could turn that into a hobby.

I know you were in that MBTI thread.. And I called you out as an INFP. I think I'm a Se/Ni type. I have a more focused vision of things.. how I want things to be. Ne (Extroverted Intuition) takes more pleasure in possibilities and brainstorming. To these types, most ideas are fun. It could be that you need that kind of personality for writing stuff like this.

So I just finished my first playthrough where I couldn't romance Cassandra because of gender limitations, and considering my future male run where I will make a nice human noble to woo her.

The thing is, the whole divine thing..can they have a happily married ever after if she becomes divine? Or at least a happily he's her secret consort lover ending? I just want to know if she breaks up with you out of duty to the divine (because if so sorry Cass, Viv is taking the job)

The official answer is "wait and see"? I think there's more story to tell. I think it's unlikely though.. but I hope not. The devs have gone on record that Divine Leliana will change the rules for her Warden lover, but she's a more liberal sort to begin with.

Her dialogue implies that she will end the romance once she is crowned if she becomes the Divine.

OT: Now I want to revisit my old fanfics, probably just rewrite them. I've been throwing around a handful of ideas in my head for Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Fables, Metro 2033, and Warcraft. Speaking of Fables, f**k you Telltale Games, for delaying The Wolf Among Us season 2 to 2016 to work on Minecraft: Story Mode and your awful Game of Thrones game.

The Wolf Among Us

It's phenomenally good. Better than their The Walking Dead games, IMO. Then, I'm also tremendously biased because I adore the Fables comics. The ending to the final episode is massive sequel bait, but it actually makes you think about the events of the game and try to piece together the mystery (and seeing people's theories on what happened is actually pretty interesting).

I second the "Wolf Among Us is awesome" notion.
Took me a second go before I got into it, but it was pretty brilliant.

Also, concerning Cassandra's romance if she's made Divine. I think she and the Inquisitor will be forced apart by events, so no, the romance won't continue traditionally, but in my mind, it became a they live for each other scenario, like only meeting every few years, have a special night or something.

A very subdued happily ever after, but not a fairy-tale, as such things don't really exist in Thedas.

It isn't happy at all. It just sucks. Especially considering they're not revisiting this setting again. I thought the Warden and Hawke sucked, but those actually got followup in multiple stories.

There was a happy ending with the Josephine romance. There was no ambiguity in the end of that one. :P

I just wanna know what happens at the end of that cliffhanger. After all, SHE WAS FALSELY ACCUSED.

I play the piano typically once, sometimes, twice a day. Just spontaneously play something out of my head... sounds really good sometimes, but I never record it. It's just for me and anyone around who wants to listen.

Aww, that's wonderful! I wish I could play an instrument.

My uncle tried to teach me to play guitar once. Poor guy hung his head in shame and declared me the least talented musician on the entire planet. (He was drunk. I had no such excuse.)

Really?! Ahh, how fun! Knowing as little about yourself and MBTI as I do, I would've pegged you as an INFJ. Deep convictions, focus, and protectiveness.

Like a typical INFP, I hate conflict and believe that ten people can have diverging opinions on one thing and all be right.

I've had too much heartbreak with Bioware stories; MassEffect3 ending, and now with Hawke's story getting shoved in the gutter, I've become desensitised to the ideal. Satisfaction, or even logical outcome, and indeed happily ever after, don't seem to be things Bioware want to achieve with their core narratives.

There was a happy ending with the Josephine romance. There was no ambiguity in the end of that one. :P

Fair point, but she is the Disney Princess, so... discounted?

I really don't know if I'd agree. I lived my earlier part of my life more like an ISTP. Did lots of crazy things, got into too much trouble, and much more active. Life spun out of control and I chilled out. Either way, I keep to myself a lot. :) I know I'm introverted. Both types are Se/Ni.

Plenty of potential happy endings to go along with the weepy ones. Literally all the romances in DAO have the potential to end happily, given that the Warden is trying to end the Calling. Likewise with DA2, as long as you're not bent on sacrificing Hawke and are willing to put up with Anders (bless you, all of you, for doing what I simply cannot). Solas is really the only DAI romance that ends on a DOOOOM kinda note.

Anyway, most couples IRL don't have a happy ending, per se. It's the years between now and then that count.

No worries. Your guess is as good as mine. It's easier to tell what I'm not.. I know I'm not Ne value-ing as you are. I often enjoy listening to them though.

I wouldn't say Solas, more Dorian as he seems to always leave no matter what. With regards to Solas, remember where Morrigan romancers were before witch hunt and DAI. So Solasmancers may not have seen the last of him.

As far as real life goes, I suppose that's entirely dependent on the couple.

That's exactly what I'd like to see for a change. A realistic situation of ups and downs, growing old, bickering.. lol

Not this pseudo-religious, save-the-world/sacrificial lamb stuff. That's cool to a point, but damn. They put too much responsibility on the type of heroes they create. Shepard probably got the worst of it.

What are the odds though that this Cassandra story gets tied up , given that the next game might be moving north, werent claims out there that there would not be an expansion ? any DLC i see them releasing are going to be pre ending so.....i still hope though.

Well what you refer to can be used to describe the romances of ME, particularly Ashley.

I have a feeling we might see some post ending DLC, or at least 1 ala Citadel DLC to wrap things up. I doubt we're going to see her in the next game though since they gave us 3 different ways to end her story here. That would explain why the post game for DAI isn't like Mass Effect in that it took place before the final mission, the end game here seems to be 100% true end game. So they can easily expand on that should they choose.

Fingers crossed you are right friend, a DLC ala Citadel would definitely be the icing on the cake for this great game.
