Well in my ME3 ending Harby blasted a romanced Ash with his lazors to begin with. :P

Damn. That's about the only legitimate reason for my Shepard killing himself in the tower. He wouldn't give a **** anymore. It wouldn't be out of some need to sacrifice.

edit: I meant Catalyst. The tower was Mordin.

Fingers crossed you are right friend, a DLC ala Citadel would definitely be the icing on the cake for this great game.

I can see it happening. In truth I felt that they ended her and the other companions stories satisfyingly. But it would be an icing on the cake, yes.

Yep. That's usually the ending I get in my ME3 playthroughs. Sort of like Neo in the Matrix after Trinity dies he's just like whatev lets get it over with.

The feels. :P

I've had too much heartbreak with Bioware stories; MassEffect3 ending, and now with Hawke's story getting shoved in the gutter, I've become desensitised to the ideal. Satisfaction, or even logical outcome, and indeed happily ever after, don't seem to be things Bioware want to achieve with their core narratives.

I've more or less just learned to ignore Bioware's endings. ME3's ending was complete and total garbage, even with the EC (but then I find tremendous fault with a good 80% of the plot to that game, not just the end). At least the ending to DAI didn't go out of its way to ignore previously established lore and totally change genre at the last second.

Become a Final Fantasy fan. You'll soon learn to ignore just about everything about the game by the time you're done.

If mac walters had replaced Gaider, we'd have seen Morrigans child show up at the end with 3 different color lyrium shards which decide our future.

I love FF, particularly the 13 series. Best boss fights in any game.

Yeah, Mac Walters is a joke writer.

Destroy the Blight and kill all the darkspawn (also the elves for some reason), merge with an Old God and control the darkspawn, or make everybody on Thedas undergo the Joining so they can "understand" the darkspawn.

Also, you haven't played a boss fight in a video game until you've played Asura's Wrath.

No worries. Your guess is as good as mine. It's easier to tell what I'm not.. I know I'm not Ne value-ing as you are. I often enjoy listening to them though.

Have you taken any of those tests? I suppose they're pretty accurate. At least, I always get the same result...

I suspect you're right about me being Ne-valueing. Some people like facts. Apparently I don't believe in them.

I wouldn't say Solas, more Dorian as he seems to always leave no matter what. With regards to Solas, remember where Morrigan romancers were before witch hunt and DAI. So Solasmancers may not have seen the last of him.

Ehh, I think you can convince Dorian to stay? Solas-romancing folks might get a little closure somewhere on down the line.

As far as real life goes, I suppose that's entirely dependent on the couple.

True. I think I'm just using "ending" in a more definite sense. I've sat at too many deathbeds to not know better.

I haven't even thought of ME3 in awhile... but it really is quite depressing. I feel a little nauseous actually.

Could've been that chicken fried steak too. Not sure.

Nah its definitely ME3 :D , look on the bright side though, after the **** storm over that ending i doubt they would ever do anything like that in ME4 or any ME to come.

The bit where it changed genre really got me. It's like, simple story, simple conclusion... this pseudointellectual space magic nonsense was so out of place in a story ultimately built on good guys fighting bad guys. But a discussion for a different forum, me thinks.

I agree, Inquisition’s ending worked out, and the epilogue was old-school Bioware greatness. I enjoyed that a lot, seeing all the conclusions and choices realized.

Concerning Final Fantasy XIII
I bought it on Steam, Christmas sale. Just started it… the dialogue and voice acting is extremely cringe worthy, but it sure is pretty. Never gotten into a JRPG before, so here’s hoping I get to the credits… eventually.

Also, StreetMagic, Vertigomez, you guys keep throwing around these acronyms... forgive my ignorance, but just what the heck ya'll talkin' about? Sounds sort of interesting.

Myers-Briggs Type Indicator! :D There's a neat little thread on MBTI and DA characters.

I don't know, from what I heard he doesn't outright leave at the end of the game but says he will stick around for a bit and then leave after a while since he apparently wants to change his homeland for the better.

My only FF experience before 13 was 7 and Advent Children, so maybe that's why I liked 13 so much. Still, had the most badass combination of boss fights/music I've ever seen in a video game. Barthandelus/Orphan, all of Caiuss', and Bhunivelze.

FF13 is a really long game, but I enjoyed it. I'm not one for JRPGS, but as you said the visuals were too much for me to pass up and eventually I got sucked into the story. Just wait til you play 13-2. ;)

Never trust anyone that says "I love Final Fantasy (insert one of their millions of terrible game titles here)."

I should know, one of my closest friends was a Final Fanturd. Biggest ******* I know, always got me into sticky situations. And not the good kind with ass and VD. Not usually anyway.

I wish Carver were in this game. I love him so much, and Cass would give him such a verbal whipping, it'd be glorious. :P

I think she and Warden Carver would get along great. Eventually.

Bethany's cardboard box. Everyone loves her by comparison, but alone she's completely useless and boring.

^Pfffft dunno what you're talkin' about, Carver's probably my favorite DA character. Maybe. He's pretty far up the list, at any rate.

I think she'd like them both, for different reasons.

She'd talk shop with Carver, philosophy with Beth.

Nononononono, this one I actually mean. Like zero character growth. "I'm magic and it makes life sad," is not a character. Except for crazies, she's the poster child for everything that's wrong with mages.
