I would like to see more of Nevarra in a DLC. Nevarra sounds....effing weird. Necropolises to the dead? Mortalitasi? A scramble for control with a succession crisis?

Of course, I'd only enjoy it if Cassandra came with us...not sure how that would happen with her potentially being the divine, unless they handwave that away somehow (the Divine takes a vacation to help the Inquisitor in Nevarra!) which would be kind of lame, but w/e.

What's so fascinating about death?

I share Cassandra's sentiments here. /don't understand :P

*happy sigh* Everything.

Cemeteries and decay and epitaphs and the Ars Moriendi and sky burial and original Welsh hearses and alkoline hydrolysis and the Danse Macabre and Victorian floriography and the revival of arterial embalming and the concept of memento mori and the monstrous undead and religious symbolism and Cthonic deities and COFFINS and Poe's violet room and the Hemlock Society...

Helping people overcome their ingrained fear of death and willful denial of their own mortality. Destroying the modern funeral industry one shattered misconception at a time, awwyiss. Thanatopsis. Life, beautiful but fleeting, insects feeding off the fat of a hundred hoary corpses, fertilizing flowers set to bloom like stars in a terrestrial galaxy. *✧₊✪͡◡ू✪͡

Also Woods of Ypres and things and stuff.

You talk a lot of **** for someone who doesn't know how to use synonyms, lol. This is beneath me, so feel free to talk to yourself, Sourpuss.

I merely said that two words were synonymous. This was in fact the case; whenever someone is right and you think it goes against what your favour, you simply play the part of a relativist and force things to fit your misapprehensions. Alternatively, you look for any possible red herring (e.g. how Americans supposedly think about idealism), and you focus on that instead of what was originally said. Hopefully someday you will understand that the only condition that needs to be met to be an idealist, is to have an ‘ideal’ or set of ‘ideals’ lol. You can argue later where said ideal or ideals fall on a political graph.

Since “talking ****” is a boring idiom, I would rather talk about what you and some others have been doing, i.e. talking like ****. Which I think equates to talking too far off the topic, and misusing vulgarity. By misusing vulgarity, I mean acting like a person, whose only bit is to say **** and ***** (etc), or to come up with vulgar daydreams (etc) and believe that the mere act of doing so warrants applause.

This thread is about Cassandra, the character, not her thighs or saying that Isabela has STIs, (also it is disheartening that you forced sarcasm even lower down the chain of irony; I did not think it possible, but then you lauded 'ass united with VD'), or all the sexist and borderline sexist things that have been floating around here.

I’m guessing those things I have mentioned are in part why this thread has seen very little diversity in the past week or so. This thread has been taken over by ****, stupid ****, said by some self-proclaimed asses, with no wit, who completely lack anima, thus mocking empathy. Empathy no matter your situation (internet or no), should be a foremost principal. It should be practiced when dealing with a story medium. It's not like the writing of Dragon Age does not deserve that kind of respect, where people empathise with the characters, instead of just drooling over them.

I see that people are now talking about Nevarra and Cassandra, which looks promising. I hope that, from now on, they just ignore your sleazy nonsense, as I plan on doing, and discuss interesting things pertaining to Cassandra.

Well.... I'm fascinated that you're so fascinated. I think... ? :D

My attitude applies to real life as well. I live in a heavy Mexican influenced city. They have a thing for death too.

I suppose I cope with mortality by simply accepting that the most important thing is the present. I like to stop to smell the flowers or listen to birds sing. I don't think about them decaying though.

Me too...

But for now, I enjoy the present (as my previous posted hinted). We'll probably get some good content sooner or later.

Well, I think his name explains his facination. lol I wonder if Cassandra had not been taken at such a young age to be a Seeker, if her views on Nevarran culture would be diffrent? I wonder if the funeral 'buisness' in Nevarra shares some similarites with the abuses of the industry that Mitford wrote about in "The American Way of Death"?

I predict that one of the most likely settings for post-game expansions is Nevarra since it is within the domain of the Orlesian Chantry.

Since the Inquisition is a prosthetic limb of said Chantry, it is possible that we may go there for whatever reason, whether it be a further expansion of influence or the prevention of a conflict with Tevinter or the Free Marches.

Was there not an operation that stops a war between Nevarra and Orlais? The writers could drudge something up from that.

If I remember correctly, there was an operation to prevent a war between Orlais and Ferelden.  The summit itself was held in Cumberland.

I also recall that Josephine will inquire whether the Inquisition should support either Nevarra or Tevinter with something regarding the Venatori, though I can't remember the specifics.  What I do recall is that Human Inquisitors can co-operate with both Tevinter and Nevarra since the Trevelyans have a presence in both countries.

Ok, that must have been it then. I think it was an operation that comes from letting Gaspard become Emperor.

We share a similar philosophy, then. Memento mori, remember your mortality, YOLO, "if nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do"... despite my own tendency to wax poetic on all things death and dying, I think it's a fairly common attitude. And if it's not, it should be, because it's healthy AF. :P

I don't know where you are but I'm in Texas and yeah, there's a lot to be said for Dia de los Muertos, Santa Muerte, etc. Namely: it's glorious and the world needs moooaaar.

I want Cassandra to discuss the future one day with the inquisitor.

Yes, it would be nice to discuss what's to come in a way that's not frustratingly vague. Looking at you, EVERY ROMANCE EVER.

Is this some kind of sick Tevinter humor... or something. Ugh.

I guess I'll credit you for finding a pic with facepaint. Shows just how stupid it is.

ROFLMFAO

Oh my god dude you are way too easy. You said they were synonyms to explain why you used one incorrectly, and you were wrong, own it, lol. And if you don't like what I say in the thread, too ****** bad. Get over yourself, kid.

Anyway, to the rest of the thread, I'll combat the same old qunari grossness with some Cass cuties:

:P Anyone got a cough drop?

Really wish they'd give the Inquisitor one more game so they could do this, but it's not happening. Though, they did originally plan on making Hawke inquisitor apparently until they saw the public opinion of him.

You mean the litter of blue babies? My Shep was dead serious  I think Warder and others would prefer cute hopeful jokes of the future over nothing at all.
