Someone having tragic events in their past doesn't necessarily make them a tragic character.

Loghain is a tragic character, because the trauma that happened in his life effected his actions and judgement until his eventual death (if he died in your game). Cassandra had a tragic occurrence in her life but it doesnt necessarily effect her to that extent nor impair her judgement, at least from what we've seen

Cassandra looks sort of tired in that shot, but it might be because of the lighting.

Bioware is teasing us by showing characters we already know. Though they did add Iron Bull so there's one 'new' character at least.

The map shows the Western Approach and the disposition of Inquisition forces along the Orlesian border. Perhaps the bell marker represents the Venatori keep we saw in the PAX demo? Then there's the bird marker further in maybe it represents the faction supporting Gaspard?

So the "All-Seeing Eye" marker represents the Inquisition but I wonder what the Bell and the Bird markers represent?

They may represent the different specialized strongholds you own,
Bell-Trade
Eye-Military
Bird-Espionage
If im correct, i hope there are more much more

The X-men movies are crap. Don't watch the X-men movies.
The Avengers is awesome, though.
The original X-Men series wasn't great, but I enjoyed First Class and The Wolverine.
But yeah, the MCU is great fun.

I was thinking that too, actually. Except the eye is 'Undecided'.

I think the Eye being the symbol of the Inquisition and the Inquisition being primarily a military organization makes it fit as the symbol of the militaristic branch

You could be right. I'm just saying I think it means the base isn't specialized yet.

I think the eye might be main story quests, or something else. They're bigger than the advisor ones and the symbols for the other two align with the symbols we saw on specialized keeps, but the military symbol was a fist thing. I think maybe there just arbitrarily aren't any military markers on the map.

I guess that depends what you call "tragic".
I call getting your brother killed in front of you as being tragic.
Naaaah needs something more ironic for it to count.

I am really looking forward to interacting with Cassandra, think she can really throw barbs while speaking if she wants like Morrigan did in the first game. There really wasn't a character like that in II that I can remember. Course, I rarely dragged Fenris or Merril around.

Don't compare Cassandra to Morrigan. That's like comparing the Mona Lisa to the painting of a Soup Can. ![]()

You know what I mean. Morrigan could get really snippy at times, I could see Cassandra being that character that goes:
"WHY THE HELL ARE WE DOING THIS YOU IDIOT?!"

Yes, I can see Cassandra being...abrasive in some situations.

Eva Mendes is officially my fancast for Cassandra
Mine, too, after seeing some concept art where she looks exactly like Eva. I'd say that muscle would need to be gained, but facewise she's perfect.

Yes!! Down to the skin/lips/even her eyebrows lol. Muscle would definitely be needed, but that face.
