Now what's funny is Gaider said before release he was iffy on Qunari romance, simply because their culture was too problematic to endear many people. And he thought the only way to include them was the pure fetish of physicality, no background... and that he wasn't sure he was comfortable with that.

And yet they went and did it anyways.

I'm not interested in debates. I'm interested in hate and insulting any fool who thought this was a good idea.

Bring on the onslaught of poetry though. I'd love it. No hate here. :P

Lol you know where I stand on it ;) You know, they just want a reaction though.

But I'm not gonna play police though. You're a grown ass man. You'll say what you want. And I'd be lying if I said it wasn't entertaining, lol.

And an excuse for poetry is certainly a plus

Well, yeah.. Josie's quite the girly girl.

I've grown to appreciate her btw.. She's no Cass, but she's really pretty. It's like I just noticed that.... I guess. :D

Eh, she and every conversation had with her, are so cheesy, tbh.

She has a niche, just like Cass. If I played a human noble who actually cared about that world, I could create a good story around her pairing. But I heard she's just as fun with the others too.. someone even told me the Qunari pairing was best. :D

Oh god yea, she's ****** gorgeous. Her little neutral look she gives is crazy seductive.

Unfortunately she's incredibly irrelevant as well. I mean, I appreciate her character and all, but in relation to me, there's no story there. Compared to the woman that had me in cuffs in the very beginning and who I fought beside. As we all know of course. Preaching to the choir obviously.

She's like the safe default romance I guess. I honestly couldn't see myself attempting to write for her. There's just nothing there.

Josephine runs most of the story, tbh. All the meetings with nobles, Orlais, judgements, doesn't suddenly start skipping out on war table meetings.

I wouldn't call her irrelevant at all.

I like the whole core Inquisition crew. It's some of the companions who are irrelevant. The core are my favorite characters besides Cass. Solas, while I talk crap about him a bit, comes up somewhere in the top too.

She just feels irrelevant because most of my time is spent out on the field doing ****, and so I really don't see her much. When I get back, she's shoved in a room off in a corner, and often times I don't even need to look her way to get to the wartable. She's of course there at the wartable, but then the interaction is with text.... so....

Yea, she just doesn't feel very relevant to me as a player. To the story is different.

That's fair. I wasn't really excited at first about advisor relationships..

But once I played the game, I realized I most liked the whole ideal and core group who started the Inquisition. Whether I romance one or not is another story. I just see the Inquisitor and Cass as the field operatives now.. and I'm OK with that. They're the dynamic duo. The others are still good for the story in general.

I like that a lot myself. Cass was pretty much looked to as the leader before, and even though you take that role, I think she still keeps that respect. Cullen and Leliana have their roles, but everyone knows Cassandra's always out there getting **** done. Lol I keep thinking of Roche from Witcher when I think of her.

Wish she still came to the wartable.

I don't know why anyone likes RobRam's jokes, as if they're serious. He's a Tevinter fan and is just trolling. It's never going to go anywhere good.

Not sure what annoys me more though. That the Qunari are just lame and goofy. Or that they're not even well implemented Qunari. They're the one race without even a halfass implementation of background or culture, and are merely crammed into the game for fetishists. It makes the whole Inquisition look stupid for having someone like that. And most of all, it makes Cass look stupid. I would have much preferred an outright Qun based Qunari (and one that really made people uncomfortable). At least it has....something going for it.

I think the mercenary angle (and the origins in general) could have been done better, but when the game is pushing ~150 hours resources are at a premium.

DAI is more human and elf-centric, which is perfectly understandable given the story that Bioware wanted to tell. Not that Inquisitor Cadash minds:

Could be "better" is an understatement. Visual fetish is on the level of the kind of thing that appeals in Second Life. THAT's the kind of crowd you cater to without fostering good roleplaying/motive/storytelling. Just randomness.....and occassional freakishness. I keep complaining because I don't want DA to be that dumbed down.

I'll say this about the dwarf.. they have a good reason for being at the Conclave. I genuinely like it.. and I mean that. They have as good a reason as the human noble. OTOH, it almost makes Cass look stupid for not seeing through them. They're up to no good :P And anything to make Cass look stupid is a crime. :D

Apparently Cass kills demons with her bare hands?

And without those bare hands touching them, lol. Didn't even know I had this shot.

She finds it again though

I think it was a shame that both Dorian and Cole lose out on some interesting introductions depending on whom you sided with on the Mage/Templar front, as their introductions are very much tied into those respective questlines. Instead of the Dark Future / Envy Demon sequence, they just show up out of the blue in the middle of the battle of Haven and you don't really get any time to know them properly until you get to Skyhold.

Sera and Vivienne were also pretty much irrevelant to the entire plotline, but at least Sera had some small arc when it came to her trying to figure out her emerging religious faith and could be counted on for a laugh or two? What did Vivienne bring to the table, aside from a ice cold bucket of condescension in every conversation?

Vivienne brought sass, and much needed badassery for the mages. With Fiona and the rest, SOMEONE had to represent from the circle. Vivienne makes them look less pathetic, lol. I like what she says on the subject too and I find that I agree with her. Cass says it best. She doesn't offer words lightly.

Vivienne is my KE mentor... I guess that's her purpose. And my arch-conservative, if I wish to actually like the Chantry (which I do... I'm just torn on her and Cass' more moderate conservatism). "It [the Inquisition] was to be a means of change"... Sometimes I wonder how much I want to go there.

So i'm taking a different route with Cass' Romance, actually doing it with Skyhold repaired (a core mission done) so i don't get annoying graphic glitch, and because i did it differently, by the time i got to getting her the next chapter of sword and shield, i had already maxed her approval, done Promise of Destruction, HLTA is done.

and i haven't even gotten the mission to find the high profile, Seeker Hunt Templars/Mages yet.

certainly been interesting.

Lol it's rather funny when you and cass are ghosting through wooden planks in that one scene if you do her stuff early.

it is funny i agree, but looks much better without it all there.

plus, i got an option i've never seen in the three (or is this the fourth?) times i've done this.

instead of "Yes I can" being the option to pursue, i got "I'd like to Try" as an option as well.

i wonder if it is because i maxed her approval... or have it much higher then normal.
