I don't know if it has been discussed on this tread before (If it has, my apologies) but What do you guys think the Break Up Scene with Cassandra will be like?

 

Probably one of the worst questions to ask But I was looking through Dana Duchy's youtube channel & I came across some interesting LI dialogue I didn't know was there. Primarily the Various Break Up options & Reaction's. The "I'm just tired of you" & the "I don't think this will work" 

 

For the "I sick of you" option, I predict she will Break your jaw   especially if the relationship has progressed a bit. 

 

& for the "It won't work out between us" I think she would say something like "No hard Feeling's" and remain professional 

 

This is my prediction but I'm interested to see your ones

I think that if the break up was for Inquisition-related reasons, IE "I can't lose you" or if the relationship would make it difficult to make the hard choices that may be required to seal the breach Cassandra would probably understand.

Although you'd have to be the biggest idiot in Thedas to tell a woman who says hello by holding a blade to your throat that you're sick of her.

But my console's power button does give me certain veto powers to prevent such words from reaching my ears. At which point, I will head cannon an ending for that playthrough and start a new character.

In the quite likely event of that happening I shall follow the standard procedure of yelling "Damn you Gaider, you magnificent bastard!" and shaking my fist in the general direction of Edmonton.

Maker forbid that we get the same sort of awkwardness that popped up with the Fenris romance:

And they were not wrong from the game I played, Leliana was jealous of Marjolaine seducing other people in Leliana's Song. What she doesn't mind is 3+somes (and only if hardened) with her partner in the equation, but that doesn't mean she approve of open-relationship.

Previous to DA:O, people suggested she wasn't the type to allow these sort of things. You're now saying the same thing about Cassandra.

Yes, you need to harden Leliana. You may need to harden/soften or otherwise influence Cassandra to make her amenable to the idea.

Or it could be she has no problem with the idea. Or it could be that she dislikes it no matter what you say or do.

I don't consider "influencing the character in the game" as the same thing as "character X support Y since the start". Without being hardened, which require you do to a very specific thing at a very specific time, Leliana is not into open-relationship (by the way, threesome is not the same thing as open relationship).

 

And I'm basing my opinion of Cassandra on what we know of her, which is a lot more than what we knew of Leliana before DAO was released.

Claiming she's straight, bi, or gay is one thing as there's enough vagueness for interpretation but her personality type seems both possessive and protective, I can't imagine she'd approve an open relationship.

Possessive people can end up in open relationships - it just depends on the terms, and it can end badly. For example, we share everyone is an example of a poly relationship that could make a possessive person happy. It depends on the person.

That seems....odd, especially considering the term possessive means demanding someone's total attention and love. If you're actually possessive, and aren't just saying your possessive, it means you find the very concept of sharing (at least concerning your obsession) unappealing, You don't want to share "the cake", you want "the cake" for yourself, a truly selfish person would actually prefer that nobody get it rather than risk having to share with someone else.
