I don't know what it was.. just warhammer.. with friends who were more into it, and lots of beer.
It was..more Monty Python esque than D&D. That's all I know. Everyone was dirty.

There should always be lots of beer........... and snacks. ![]()
What--everyone you played with was dirty? ![]()
lol.. I like the Seekers myself. Cass is the icing on the cake. It's kind of lame to call it whipped. I'm trying to be serious here. They're one of the few groups I find vital in this world. If anything, I was hoping the Inquisition/DAI would be heavily based around the same themes. It turned out a bit differently.
It just comes off that way to me. You could basically do seeker work right there from the inquisition. I don't see a reason to downsize.
Running off into another dimension where your crazy ex GF holds the key to your exit felt the same way, lol.

Back to Seekers..
Basically, my whole "schtick" is simply trying to get things back to before, with some caveats. I wish to undo all the doubt that Anders cast on the state of things. Not acknowledge it. He's made everyone question things. I hate that. I liked the world before.
edit: obviously some major caveats though, with Vivi as Divine. Traditional or not, it's still pretty radical.

I see every reason to downsize. I don't want that power.
You don't play the Templar quest. It's exactly how I see the Inquisition ending up as, sooner or later... even with the best intentions.
But the fun of it is seeing how both these paths could end up.

No.. I mean.. like in the Holy Grail.. I just picture everyone in WH looking as nasty as the peasants in that movie.

I'm finally getting to it, lol. Couldn't bring myself to before, but it'll be worth it for Cass pics and seeing her reactions.
Anyway, I think the Inquisition's going to be temporary whether I give it up now or it goes bye bye later. I think I could do the seekers a lot more good from a position of power, but that's just me and my thing. Personally, I wish that we could keep this protagonist for at least one more game, fight a qunari invasion while dealing with Solas crazy. But that's not gonna happen.

As a Cass fan, you should want to do it anyways. You'll get her an amulet of power and a decent Seeker shield schematic. And she just fits the quest in general. You'll still get Dorian later, don't worry.
Oh I know. I just love time travel! I'm a stargate sg-1 geek. Time travel's like catnip to me, lol.
But I did it the second time and was like "eh, not as cool this time around", so I figure I might as well do something new. Those seeker shields look bomb, by the way. Really badass. Making my own this time around will be nice.

It's not the Inquisition shield she starts off with though... just so you know (that's what I wish it was :\). It's more like a Chantry sun. But it's a damn good shield..and will last into the Skyhold period of the game.

If it's like the ones in the strongholds, I'll be happy. Those ones look way better than her original anyway. In my opinion, that is. I love how red the sun is.

It seems to me that the Inquisition will be integrated into the Chantry by decree of Divine Victoria and will replace the Seekers and/or Templar Order as its military component.
Though, this outcome makes more sense if one conscripted the Templars or helped the Mages.

I ally with Temps. Annoys Leliana. Not sure what it means in the big longrun. Perhaps with Vivienne, it's a little more obvious.

What's the general consensus on rebuilding the seekers?
That's a tough one. I've agonized about this for a few playthroughs and finally just figured it all depends on who's gonna be the Divine and what state of the world she will bring.
When I play as a pro-mage character bent on helping the oppressed by freeing the mages from the Chantry Circles, giving Briala the Dales and in general wanting a Chantry that welcomes all races and is more modern, I'm dismantling such orders as Templars and Seekers, as they are the remnants of the oppresive force, a failure of the previous system. Even Cassandra grudgingly agrees that it was the Seekers who were in no small part to blame for the mage rebellion. I'm not even mentioning the overzealous Templars, sad lyrium addicts that they are. In this world state Leliana (preferrably unhardened) is the Divine and she along the Inquisition is bringing new order into the world of Thedas. The only annoying part about this is that everyone tries to scare me with crazed mages going rampant and turning into abominations around every corner and that someone absolutely needs to put them to the sword. But me and the good College of Mages ending say bullshit to that. Mages can govern themselves. And something will become of the Inquisition after it is disbanded, might as well be a more worthy new order that champions justice in Thedas (with lyrium consumption, Chantry leash and Rites of Tranquility prohibited), so Cassandra'll still have something to occupy herself with.
But when I play a pro-templar character it always comes down to whether I want to change things and make Cassandra the Divine or leave everything as it was (which is not a wise decision in general) and go with Vivienne. Lately I've started seeing Vivienne the Blackwall way - as a power hungry opportunistic snake who crawled into the Inquisition for a power grab, so she's out. Cassandra is a much better and honest option. She'll want the old orders like Templars, Seekers, Circles and Chantry intact for the reforms. So in this world state I allow her to rebuild the Seekers. The only problem here is that if you're a pro-templar Cassandra's just too damn perfect for the Divine role, so if you're romancing her be prepared to say goodbye. Which is quite sad and what's more sad is hearing that she's actually forcing herself to do this, as she clearly hates politics and all the fuss she'll have to endure by becoming Divine. You can hear it from her when you ask about whether she actually wants to become the Divine and after the game ends. I don't like sad endings in general, so this is quite a dilemma. Personally, I solve this the easy way - my canon Inquisitor is pro-mage
, and everything seems justified.

Divine Victoria can go on and get ****ing desposed while their at it.
Seriously.
World shattering change hand waved in shouldn't be encouraged period.
We often think alike..
It's crazy. I hope Bioware is trying to make a point... somewhere. And not encouraging this kind of thing.
