OK, I would accept no sex if.. like... someone got in some horrible accident.
But wtf is the point between two healthy, happy adults?
And not only that, it's someone else telling you what you can't do. And people think that's cool. That's crazy.

That's religion
It's a particular self-flogging version seen more in Catholicism. Not religion in general.
I don't know.. The whole religion thing is fun to a point for a game, but they don't need to make it so literal.
I feel the same regarding Cass as Divine.
Except I'm willing to accept the break up. We all gotta make sacrifices and its not like she'll stop loving the inquisitor.
Its just that they can't have sex anymore.
There's a word for people you like a lot but don't have sex with. They're called "friends".
I mean, far be it from me to be crass (but I'm about to) the reason 99% of people out there have romantic relationships is because of sex. (Statistic pulled out of my butt, yes, but anyone chime in here if the majority of the people they've met would be perfectly content in chaste relationships.)
In my experience, if a guy or gal isn't getting it in their relationship, they're eventually going to get it from somewhere. Or turn into a bitter troll.
No, I don't think it's "ok" or "romantic" for Cassandra to go off and be the Divine and expect y'all to be in a chaste relationship. Maybe I'd still love her. But if there is no sex, there is no relationship. You're just very very good friends. Time to move on.
Okay.

I'm content to be chaste for long periods when I'm single.. (and I am now).. I like serious relationships and don't sleep around. I can't make sense of being with someone and having to do it though.

I don't mind it, it's realistic. Just don't make her Divine ![]()
It wouldn't be very interesting anyway if your love interest being Divine didn't come with a cost. It could be worse. We could have gotten Marysueliana... SNORESVILLE.
Okay.

I guess.
In the end, I don't even see the Divine job as important in affecting the masses. Hundreds of years from now, people will just talk about the Inquisition and Herald.. and probably have a completely different version of the story than we even played. Like, they'll literally believe Corypheus killed us at Haven, and we rose from the dead to become Inquisitor. The truth will get lost, just like the details of Andraste.
The only thing important in the end is how magic is being controlled.
edit: Or Talos, in TES.. For that matter.
This is going to come out really patronizing, but when I was younger, I used to think love conquered everything, love is all you need, yadda yadda.
But the older I got, the more I realized that simply isn't true. And sex is a really, really big deal. Lack of sex, a frigid partner, whatever the issue, can really derail a relationship, even if everything else is ok.
I've never seen a sexless relationship work out IRL, unless both people were asexual to begin with. Most of the time, it crashes and burns spectacularly, or one partner learns to tolerate the other one cheating. Or, rarely, people do stick to their ideals and stay together, but again, it usually turns one or both into a bitter person.
YMMV, of course, and if your head canon is happy with the idea of the sexless relationship, far be it from me to interfere, but if were talking on a realistic level..yeah, I don't see this working.
Well I never said it was gonna be easy. And I do agree that sex keeps a relationship healthy.
But I disagree that a relationship without sex is like beign friends.

I think I like their version better, lol. Or maybe not. The idea of that ****** getting the better of me is rather insulting.

As a Lorkhanian scholar, I approve this message.
I don't think they think Cory killed us. They think we sacrificed ourselves in a glorious bid to save them. Our legend grows. Much more glorious.

That to me is getting the better of me. That they even consider him on my level and that I needed to sacrifice my life while he lives on until I'm resurrected... Na **** that. It gives him much more credit than he deserves, the ******.
Me killing me and almost his entire army, and then bringing myself back to life is pretty badass, tbh.

It'll probably end that way, though. Those feelings we all crave are all designed to lead to one end. There are people out there that are different, to be sure, but if those feelings lead to nowhere, they'll more often than not end, and be catered more towards someone else.

It is except that part of that glory goes to the maker.
Me just straight ****** up his entire army and walking away with nothing more than a limp... now that's badass.
God, I get chills just thinking about that moment. Can we just take a moment of silence for his army please? I know they were the enemy, but no one in the entirety of the series has ever had their asses handed to them worse than the army at Haven. It was downright embarrassing, and the most badass moment in dragon age ever.

That is true.
We'll just have to wait and see what Gaider is planning with the whole situation.

fixed.
LOL thank you. It's only right after that ass tap. The only asswhooping worse than that was maybe Cailan in Origins. I lol'd.

Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. Just like when done friends of mine where able to convince people on the forum Dromund Kaas was Minrathous.
Well keep on being disgusted. It's bad enough that sjw flock to the mages to project and vent. First step to stopping that is by not making them victims. But you can't have Lels' ending because it's so ridiculous within the confines of the universe. So mages stepping up to the plate >>> evil mages/oppressed mages.
fixed.
LOL the fixed version's much better
Saved.

Nah. What the Templars did at the Gallows, especially with Hawke's help, is literally the saddest thing I've ever seen.

"Oppression." Lol. I want to be oppressed like mages are then. Warm towers inside palaces. Boohoo.
Lol they did beat those mages like they owed the IRS.
Well nothing will convince me to make Cass divine. Cass stays with me and Leliana does the stuff I want. I thought this was the Cass thread not the pro-templar Leliana-hater thread
